SEO...is not any longer a favorite among affiliate marketers, because the landscape has changed from several years ago, where it was easy to rank for your keywords and get free traffic.

Now, I have experience with local seo, since I did all of my own work for my own mortgage lead generation site.

Local Seo...still rocks for those whom have a offline business. So it is something you definitely consider since you could come up quicker locally and then nationally !

    * Make a list of keywords your ideal prospects would type into google
    * Then review them and see which are not too competitive and will be easier to rank for with a some work
    * Go get a domain name, but be careful which one you select because this could make a difference between ranking and not ranking sooner then later
    * Create website with good seo optimized content

If you do not anything about SEO, you can do a few things, hire a SEO CONSULTANT to help you avoid costly mistakes, pick a book on seo and get familiar with it so that if you decide to outsource the seo work, you will minimize getting hurt by seo people who may not do the right thing, if you do not understand the process what is considered good seo practices, you can get hurt ;(

If you do all these above.
Do you do it without client know about it, and then show him the result.

Or you get to follow what he is looking for and than advice him first with domain and keywords you have mention above, and than do the work.

First.... you get clients by talking with them... determining their needs.

Second... you price your services in accordance with your
skill level and the quality of results you can deliver. There is
no standard answer to that question.

An old method, but a good method: snail mail. Manta has all of your potential clients information online. Find their name and address, put together a clear concise call to action, and mail out a ton of them to prospective businesses. Make sure you hand address all of the envelopes as it will increase your chances of them actually being opened.

This is a good technique to increase chance of getting prospect, unfortunately I am not sale men or have experience on doing all this, I would prefer contacting them by email first if they are happy and accept to show them or explain the services, only than I can introduce go face to face...

But it's good to give try sometimes, sure it will not hurt....Thanks

        1) How to bring client for your business.

        - A general answer would be either you're the party catering the client's needs or convincing/persuading the clients that they need your service(s).

        2) How you charge the following services if you are doing one of them or more...

        - Usually, it is charged based on requirements, technicality and timing. The pricing varies based on location, exposure (client), awareness (client).

        3) What tools you are using or need in general

Seeing as you're providing web design/development services, I would suggest:
        - HTML editor program (coffeecup - free / dreamweaver - paid)
        - Photo editing program (gimp/paint - free / photoshop - paid)
        - Word processor program (notepad - free / Microsoft word - paid)

My advice - head out to your local town, walk into businesses and 'sus' out the place. Meaning, check for marketing materials such as:

        - pamphlets
        - business cards
        - menus
        - flyers

On those materials, find a website - if they don't have one located on either ask the front counter if they have a website. If not, write down:

        - Business name
        - Business industry & sector
        - Business size
        - Business contact number / address

If they do have a website, write down their website on a paper and if you have a mobile phone available visit the website there. If the website doesn't render or re-direct you to a mobile-ready website - jot down their information as mentioned above.

What you're essentially doing is building up a list of potential clients to sell your services to.

I can only answer about how to get Clients. Here goes.

First you need a list of potential local customers. As it is regarding Website & SEO related services you need list of the targeted (industry wise, location wise, product wise etc) local business owners OWNING a WEBSITE. (website owners are most likely to need these services). A list of business owners name, numbers, emails, their website addresses, their physical addresses etc.

Then you can analyse their business, and contact them in either/all of these three methods. First a customized e-mail depicting how you could help them, then a follow up phone call. (Adding a postal letter case wise).

I do it myself from many years & I know a great deal of my customers who do the same and generate Leads/sales. If you need help in building such lists, I could help you build up solid databases and maybe contact them too on your behalf. Usually a combination of local local list building techniques used with directories like manta, yellow pages and some other paid services gives you great, virgin lists. We do that at investigatedomains. com

Regarding tools: there are a great many tools to automate lead generation and sales process for getting local customers, at almost free of cost. I'd love to share know how with you, how about we connect and exchange ideas. I am sure we could help each other a lot. My geemail is the same, investigatedomains.

    Hope that helps.
