Cost of Real Estate Home Buyer Leads

Anyone know what it is costing an agent to generate real estate leads through forced registration on their IDX site strictly from Adwords?

I was generating leads at $15 and thought this was pretty good considering the $2/Average CPC, however when I contacted agents they're all claiming way better numbers.

Don't think they're all trying to low ball me, but one agent is saying $10/lead as well. How is this even possible considering the $10 CPC? That would mean 1/5 people are literally registering which seems highly unlikely if not impossible?

Anyone know any agents that are advertising/captureing leads this way?

I don't know but I would agree with you that those numbers seem way out of whack unless they are just lucky. The reality is that they probably have no idea.

Most agents that I know do not spend any money on adwords and their sites sit on page 45 of the SERPS and complain that they never get any business from them. LOL

If you can generate buyer leads for $15 a pop, get yourself a RE license and partner up with a top producing buyer agent. You'll make ten ( or fifty) times as much money.

I have several real estate agents(friends)when I recommend a buyer or seller who list with them it's a $100 pop.If this is what your referring to as a lead. That's peanuts to pay me with their commissions .Also have some rental property companies who pay me $200 for rental leads that pan out for them.

All the agents I've talked to told me my price is too high. I even considered giving them at my cost at $15/lead just to show the value but it was still too high lol.

I agree I don't think they know their true numbers. One guy told me they only spent $1000/month to get 200 leads lol yea right at $2/click? You must be paying people to sign up then.

Do real estate agents need home insurance leads, and how interesting this subject for them?

I'm thinking you and the agents you've talked to don't speak the same language. Lead to you and lead to them is not the same thing. I don't think many understood what you offered.

A study from a few years ago, found that 43% of the time, agents don't even respond to requests from the internet: http://www.mibor.com/clientuploads/P...ce%20Study.pdf (page 46).

I don't know how much it costs them

The OP was written in 2014. It was bumped for nothing.

Darn! I wasted 50 words. Make that 55. Now, 58. Now 60. Oh, the madness! It never stops!

Um... maybe a lead isn't a lead just because someone says it's a lead.

My point is people pay more for hot leads. Example of a hot lead is a potential client going to a lender and taking the time to fill out a pre-qualification application for a mortgage.

Are you pre-qualifying anyone for a mortgage?

Don't say traffic is clicking Adwords ads/links.

Damn, someone bumped a 2014 thread.
