I am poised to jump back into marketing services and it would really help me to know what services people are having success with.

Are people still buying social media management, mobile site optimisation and seo?

Are there any good recent courses that cover what services to market?

    Here's a tip, find a targeted traffic source first. It doesn't matter what your selling, without the targeted traffic nothing else matters.

    Know your customers' requirements and needs. The additional you know about your clients, the improved your marketing will be. Your marketing message must display how your service fulfills a need or want for your customer.

    The first question is, who do you wanna sell your marketing services to?

    Once you know that, ask yourself: What marketing service does XXXX need/get the most value from?

    You'll be able to sell that successfully.

      Yes they are. Rep management, seo, site re-works, leads, and directory stuff in addition to direct mail is what we do. Plenty of business out there still even in a crappy business environment. It's all about relationships and adding value for us.

      Not that I am aware of at the time...unless you ask the creators of the courses..I'm sure there is plenty of rehashed bs out there for sale ;-)

      For online services, I find updating sites and directory listings are what is needed. What I've really excelled at is developing / implementing good "boots on the ground" local marketing (offline) where I live. (small town outside of large city).
