Postcards to market my info product

I have an original info product that I plan on marketing. It is a financial advice product.

I want to sell it via postcards since I already have my own indicia for mailing bulk for another business I do. I have just not done anything like this specifically.

I plan on pricing the report for $98. I also plan to utilize an IVR so I can have the prospect that calls the postcard number listen to a recorded pitch and they can press 1 to be transfered to make the purchase. At first the transfered call will go directly to me but eventually I want to either employ people to answer the calls or outsource it.

I am interested in anyones feedback who has marketed an info product like this.

    Sounds like you have read how it's done by 2 guys who have done it successfully.

    They teach...

    1 what markets to go in

    2 find a buyer list

    3 all about the postcard

    4 set up the recorded message and press 1 to speak to an operator to buy.

    If you are selling your product in the U.S., you may have to be licensed. If it is a generic newsletter, than nope. But, on the other hand, depending on the sophistication of the NL you may need a boiler plate SEC statement.

    Since you didn't say what kind of financial advice product it is my remark merely is a heads up. Wish you the best of success. IMHO it is best to be safe than sorry.

    It will work. You should make it more of a high end product however. Direct marketing, personalized is the most efficient type of marketing. If you can somehow get a mailing list with the same interest it is even better.

      Without a highly targeted list, you're probably going to be spending at least a couple hundred dollars for one sale.

      It's very, very difficult to break-even (not to mention actually making money) on the front end when selling an info product for less than a couple hundred dollars.

      You might be better off going with a less expensive front end product ($10 or less) and then creating an ascension "ladder" of products.
