Getting Google to move its map marker

Hi

My Google map marker is showing my home address not my office address, I have told them time and again, ive reported it, moved the marker myself, told them im getting unwanted visitors to my home (this isn't a major issue but bad for them) and they still not changing it , they've refused to change it three times now.

WTF I hate them they think theyre bigger than God

any ideas what else I can do please

Did you try manually moving your marker? It will trigger postcard verification. It happened to one of my client's Google My Business page where the marker point to the old location but after manually moving the marker to right spot, it triggered postcard verification. After 3 weeks my client received the PIN then after we verified it, its started to show the correct marker.

Hi thanks, I moved It three times manually, each time Google have emailed me saying they'll check, then couple days later they say they've checked and see no reason to move it, this is what annoys me its like theyre thinking they know more about my addresses than I do, morons.

So I get nowhere for now. I might delete the whole thing

      • No don't delete and don't start a new listing.

It's fixable, you just need to talk to phone support and explain and they will fix it right then while you are on the phone so you can verify it's in the correct place.

Going back and forth via report a problem and email is frustrating. Now that there is phone support you really want to talk to someone so you can nip it in the bud and end the frustration.

Check data suppliers such as expressupdateusa.com I bet they have the wrong info and check GEO location across the web. Google must be pulling the data somewhere, Even if you fix it in the dashboard if they keep pulling the data from a data source they will replace it with the incorrect data.

I have deleted the google plus listing, but on searching for the business on google search the map still comes up showing my home location , they just don't seem to understand the issue , I don't wish people to know where live nor have directions and a map to it , is it really that hard to comprehend for them

No I said don't delete. That will not take care of it. Deleting just deletes from dash so you have no control over it. The listing will stay live.

No you can't call any direct # and get help.

Someone above gave you the link: https://support.google.com/business/.../4546390?hl=en

You need to use that link during the stated hours and you'll get the Call Us option and someone calls you back right away.

BUT that's only for customers. Now that you deleted the listing, you are no longer a customer. That listing is just out in the wild unclaimed. So not sure what to suggest other than claim again and after you do then contact support via the recommended option above.
