How much traffic can I expect through Google Adwords with $300 budget?

It's a difficult question to answer. It really depends on the keyword niche that you are targeting because some niches charge more in terms of their cost per click. For example popular niches will be more expensive and therefore your budget will get beaten up more quickly.

Thank you very much for your reply, lets just say I wan't an example on how much per visitor it would cost on a regular priced keyword for example in the "how to make money niche"

Have a look in G's keyword planner tool - once you login to your adwords account.. There you will see the costs per click for each word... My best advice when using PPC is to stay away from broad/generic terms as they generally cost more and have terrible sales conversion... Focus on long tail words which are very specific to your niche and would be the type of words which a buyer would type.... You get less traffic but your costs are much lower and your conversions higher...

I forgot to mention have you tried Facebook adverts?. Social media advertising in my experience can be more successful than Google ad words.

In that niche it varies between $0.50 and $1.99

So if the cost per click is $0.50 I will only have 600 visitors with $300?

        Hi nazarene023,

That's absolutely right assuming every cost per click is $0.50 for a $300 budget.

        Couple of tips for ya:
        1) If you're new to PPC platforms like Google & Bing, they'll likely offer you first time coupons ($50, $100, etc). Please avail yourself to them. Call them if you need to. I've done it before.

        2) Avail yourself to coupons for cheap. I've come across vouchers that others are selling for just $75 for a value of $300. Think you can use that?

        3) Explore Bing because the quality of that traffic does not differ much from Adword's but the cost is much lower.

        All the best!

$300 budget, could get you as little as 30 clicks depending on the keyword and your abilities. I've seen some crazy CPC even from people that have been using adwords for a while.

One of my first clients was paying about $10 CPC for keywords not nearly as competitive as making money online, or any how to make money niche. After a lot of money and some time we got it down to under $1.

It's better to plan for higher CPC than to be hopeful and caught off guard.

I liked the one suggestion about using FB ads... probably a good choice. Easy to get into, cheaper CPC for sure.

Is this the same $300 you are planning on spending on Facebook ads (as you posted in the social media forum) or an additional $300?

And the reality is that no one knows because the cost per click to your website is different for everyone. You and I could have the same budget in the same niche, targeting the same keywords or interests, and I could be paying 20% per click as compared to what you pay.

  • I personally would stay away from Google with $300 budget... You can burn thru that in a matter of minutes depending the keywords that you bid on. I would recommend that you choose less conventional ways to find leads for your business.
I finally found a way to get unlimited leads per day. It was a game changer for me...

    Good Luck

  • Hey!

One thing I want to say and if I am wrong in my assumption then please put me straight - but it sounds like you are very new to IM and the last thing I or anyone else out here wants to see is you come back in 2 days and say you spent the $300 and didnt make a sale.

If $300 is your budget, lets put $200 in a safe place for now and test with $100. Otherwise another risk is that you will spend your $300 getting your campaign right and then run out of money.

Are you willing to share your product and plan in a little more detail? Maybe people can offer more direct advice to help you before you begin!

It's true that FB ads have a much lower CPC and sometimes it brings good results. For fashion, beauty and in general women related products facebook brings better return of investment due to the much smaller CPC. But for other niches maybe AdWords brings better results.
The one thing that I want to highlight is that you should read some best practices before spending $300 in AdWords. There are a lot of ways to improve CPC like campaing structure, quality score and geo targeting.
