What Keywords Should I choose For This Niche?

I created my very first landing page for the Justcloud data backup CPA offer but...

Now that i'm ready to test it with Bing ads i'm beginning to think this offer is going to be way too expensive to buy clicks for.

If I bid 0.05 - 0.10 cents a click on the obvious "Data Backup" type keywords my ads probably won't ever be shown as these keywords are around $5.00 a click or more.

Should I continue and start bidding on low cost long tail keywords and see what happens? or am I doing this completely wrong?

You should use bing.com to gather many buyers keywords.

Just take a time to search up for related keywords and also check the suggestions bing gives you. Then look if anyone else is advertising when you search for each keyword. When you search for a keyword, and you see bing ads, then that means that keyword is probably profitable.

Do this with short and long tail keywords. Then take them to your ad campaign and try to find out how much you can pay per click.

This is a process that should take a long time to finish. You need to do a lot of keyword research and then find out how much advertisers are paying per click.

    I hope this helps!

I wish you the best of the best!

    Keep up the great work!

    Cheers!

Doesn't hurt to test out. As FreedomBlogger has suggested, use both generic and long tails. And as you see the data come in, you will see what is working and what isn't.

I personally plug in as many keywords as I can. If I'm bidding too low for the generic keywords, then so what? You don't get visitors and you don't get charged. However once in a while you will get people that click 2 to 3 pages in and you might get a visitor for cheap. As for the long tails, that's the best converting traffic as long as you are using relevant keywords.

Doesn't bing have keyword tool similar to adwords?

I think to get your cost down you'll need to pick and go with an angle .. For example, target new parents and sell them on the fact that they need to backup all of their pictures and videos for their precious new child, because Ithe their computer crashes they will lose them forever

According to our experience using bing ads, you don't have to spend much to gain better result when you apply some techniques during campaign set up.
    You need to:
    - Target the right audience (Niche, Country, Age, Sex, and so on...)
    - Choose keywords wisely
    - Apply some other techniques to minimize cost and maximize ROI
These are few crucial factors that you may consider while setting up your PPC campaign

Here you go, I pulled all the keywords justcloud.com itself is ranking for organically, they would be a good place to start from in order to get some traction.

    Zippyshare.com - justcloud.com-domain_adwords-us.xls

I also ran some seed keywords through longtail pro to get this list. Of suggestions.
    Zippyshare.com - cloud storage.csv

I then ran a bunch of seeds through another tool I have on hand, and ended up with this massive list, that needs to be filtered through, but I cant do all the work for you now can I?

At any rate during my cursory glancing at the lists I noticed some angles you could take for better traction.
    Zippyshare.com - justcloud.txt

Photographers, videographers, parents, grandparents, family memories.

You see data storage is a solution the pain you are trying to alleviate is the fear of losing something precious to them. These demographics have precious things they would like to hold onto so by targeting them you will likely see lower advertising rates and better results.

    Good luck.

I suggest you research buying keywords related to your CPA offer, also you can be creative and promote a unique angle that's going to attract buyers and also could cut the cost of your advertising.

    Good luck

WOW!!! Thanks guys. your responses have been more than enough to give me a few more ideas. I didn't think of the various angles I could target.

xj975 you even found some keywords for me to experiment with (I really didn't expect that much help)

I'll definately use the advice given.
      Much appreciated, thanks.
