Bing Ads with BizOpp, bid/payout question

Hi,

I've been successful with SEO traffic on one of my sites, so I want to invest money also to PPC, specifically Bing Ads. Here's what I've done so far:

- Put aside a testing budget of $1000.
- Applied and got accepted to some reputable CPA networks.
- Chose a bizopp offer.
- Created simple landing page with HTML & Photoshop.
- Selected 15 keywords with the help of Bing Ads tool.

The problem is this: those "make money" type keywords seem to have quite high bids. I don't seem to get clicks below $1 CPC. Also, the bizopp offer pays in low single digits.

The question is: Is it worth my money to continue running this offer and keywords with high bids, with hopes of getting drastically lower CPC in the future? I know PPC takes money in the beginning, but is what I explained above flawed right from the start and I should perhaps move to higher payout offers at once?

Thanks if you can help me, I'm new to PPC and eager to learn!

Cheers,
Unstabletable

    Hello there, Unstabletable

I have been doing marketing with Bing for quite some time now and among the campaigns that I ran were a few that included the type of keyword you mentioned (make money). From the data I managed to gather during the time I had those campaigns active I can tell you that the CPC rarely goes down in this case more so it tends to grow bigger because the competition is just too high. So even if you have conversions and actually manage to cover some of your cost from the beginning it is very possible that you will exahaust all of your budget very quickly and not see too great a result out of your campaign when you draw the line.

I would suggest to do more research on the keywords you use in order to increase the effectiveness of your ads and reduce the CPC by being much more specific. I for one had to turn off these campaigns because they were literally draining cash from my account and the ROI was far from profit. Still if you have a really good landing page then perhaps you could manage to make a profit even with the current settings on your campaigns, but with all the competition out there I can tell you from experience it will be very hard.

I think you should use exact and phrase keywords only. Avoid broad and content.

      Also change the key words.

Make money keyword is highly competitive. Look for something like : be rick from working online ...etc

Thanks for awesome replies guys. What do you think about the payout of the current offer, low single digits? Is it doomed to fail in the competitive bizopp bidding market and should I aim for offers that pay 10 bucks or more?
