I am considering hiring an PPC Company for my estate agency.

What questions should I be asking them to check their capability and ability to deliver? Any suggestions?

Delivery rate is the main important thing.
You should ask how much you would be profitable and the investment required?
Ask previous experience of their company and contact to that clients to find out more details.

Make a detail search in Google about their company to find negative feedback. Like XXXX scam company.

      Hi zeh004,

My advice is to simply contact a few and ask each the same set of questions, compare the answers to narrow down your candidates. Budget permitting give 2 or 3 of the top candidates each a piece of your business, assuming you have multiple products or service offerings.

      Here are some suggested questions:
      1. How much do you charge? - Be wary of any agency that charges a flat fee for every advertiser, each client's needs will vary in size and scope and a one size fits all fee is a sign of a set-and-forget account manager. Fees that scale with ad spend is the time-tested best performing business model for meeting client needs.
      2. How do you measure the success of my campaign? Be wary of agencies that answer this question without first asking you for the specific goal(s) of your business or website. If they don't ask for your goals it could be a sign that they are not that interested in your success.
      3. What do you recommend as the primary KPI to optimize my campaigns? - Be wary of any agency that seems to myopically focus on ROI (Return on Investment), ROAS (Return On Ad Spend), or CPA (Cost Per Acquisition). Those are indeed important metrics but are not the key metric for profit-driven campaign management.
      4. Are you a badged Google Partner? - An agency must meet or exceed certain minimum standards in regard to experience, training, and adherence to best practices to receive and maintain a Google Partner badge. You can verify their status using the Google Partners search page. If you still need to narrow it down from there, ask the agency to send you a screenshot of their agency's best practice green bar on the agency performance page. This isn't viewable to the public but only to the agency and Google, That best practices green bar will show you their best practices performance as it compares to the average Google Partner agency, After all, statistics show that nearly half of all Google Partners are below average as compared to other Google Partners.

Best question to ask anybody you are going to hire is asking for their references. Any company can tell you this or that. Ask the company to give you 2 or 3 current clients they have to have them call you or you call them verifying they are indeed good at what they do. Giving Google a quick call to verify they are a Google Partner always helps as well.

I would ask them to show you their successes, to try and see their successful campaigns. If they object ask them to blur out any confidential info. Also look at the testimonials and actually contact some of the people, and find out if their campaigns are still successful.

Ask them what's new and exciting in PPC - any agency worth their salt will keep up with the times. PPC changes rapidly just like any other. This would also open up the possibility of them pitching what they would really like to do with your business and what really might work.
