What happened to the Google Keyword tool?

Hey guys,
The tool used to be able to give us keyword suggestions and search volumes but I can't find out how to do it. I think they removed it as an effort to slim down their product, which I don't think was a good idea if that is the case.
Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
