I'm new to PPC advertising. I just set-up my first Bing campaign and only chose a few keywords.

I was wondering if it is a better idea to target a large amount of keywords or a small amount?

First start with those keywords to see how it goes. Once you got those kws all set up then find new ones. Don't rush.

I just added a bunch more. It's been 24 hours since I launched my campaign and I only have a 60 cent ad spend. But I have a $25/day max.

It doesn't matter how many keywords you use as long as the relativity is strong and they are organized properly into ad groups.

    hey there,

Here are my tips and opinion

everyone has different opinions on this so you choose what you think is working. How are you going to find out what is working?? test your keywords variations and type.

Start with a few or start with a lot but REMEMBER The keywords need to be matched closely to your ad and be RELEVANT!! the more relevant the better...

Sometimes all that is needed is 5 or 6 great converting keywords per ad. test you match types phrase exact broad etc but be sure to keep on top of it and track the types that are not working.

The ones that are getting impressions but no clicks are affecting your CPC. and will raise your CPC which is not the goal here.

Use negative keywords for your ad groups, this will help eliminate people that are looking for something else other than your keyword.
