Hi,

I've started a campaign on Bing with exact match keywords, but it seems that it's getting no impressions at all (4 days passed)
The keywords I chose to start the campaign is the name of the Clickbank's product I promoted (3 week diet)
I was told to do it after I didn't get conversations with a regular keywords (weight loss tips, fastest diet, how to lose weight fast etc..)
What would you suggest me to do now?

Thanks.

Have you considered using Phrase match as well as Exact match. Phrase match is broader than Exact, but it won't get clicks from irrelevant searches like Broad match does.

For example, with Phrase match if you bid on the keyword buy 3 week diet, if someone searches where to buy 3 week diet then your ad will show up because Phrase match has to include the words of your keyword in the same order, so it's closely relevant.

What bid did you make for the keywords? That could be related to the lack of impressions also.

Are you direct linking to the CB sales page or using a landing page?

    hey

here is my opinion BUT IM NOT TELLING YOU TO DO THIS, this is just my opinion! There are a lot of factors that go into a ppc campaign but lets look at your question:

As you may know or not know already exact match keywords typically have a lot lower volume than phrase or broad.

    • use the google planner or bing internal tool to actually see if the keywords are getting search volume. some keywords wont have volume and then you will not get many impressions.
    • also look at what your bidding if your not bidding high enough the impressions will remain low.
    • I have also found that if my daily budget is too low sometimes this was the issue, but that does not happen much and you should set the budget at what you want....its your money.
    • I have also personally found that if your just bidding on that one keyword for some reason the impressions take forever to come. Maybe try adding at least 3-5!
    Hope that helps

      Correct!

That should always be the first thing to do. If no one searches the keywords then obviously you won't get any impressions.

I don't think search volume is the problem here because 3 week diet is one of the most popular CB products.

I think the problem is the reliance on Exact match and the high CPC because of the competitiveness of the niche and the product. So even if you bid high enough to get clicks.. paying $1+ click would be very difficult to break even let alone make a profit. You'd need to make a sale about every 20-30 clicks just to break even.

If the OP is direct linking to CB, I wouldn't recommend the weight loss niche because it's too competitive. I would recommend starting with less competitive niches.

You're right. I just checked and the term 3 week diet has more than 6000 monthly searches on Google, so probably a few thousand a month on Bing as well.

Definitely a good advice about the niche. The more saturated the niche, the more knowledge you need.
