Adwords account suspension

I have been an adwords user since 2006, I have never attempted to skirt the rules or used any tactics that would be deemed black hat. I use the account to as an affiliate to drive traffic directly to the merchant websites. In 2012 I had an issue in which a site that I used to drive traffic to as an affiliate went out of business and eventually turned into a parked page. My account was suspended, after speaking with an accounts rep they eventually reinstated my account. Since then I have had a handful, approximately five, business that I have promoted that were full e-commerce sites that have closed and the websites have ceased to exist. Today I woke up to the notification that my site had been suspended because of these sites in my account. I spoke with a rep on the phone and I pleaded my case that I have no control over those sites and that they had legitimately went out of business, it seems they are being less flexible than last time and I are saying unless they are changed and become active legitimate e-commerce sites

Thanks. Its very frustrating as the account has been open for so long and they don't seem to understand that the companies went out of business and I don't have control over the domain or websites so I cannot put them back online no matter how much I try, it's really out of my control.

Do not advertise for companies out of your control

This is why you should not be direct-linking to other people's sites unless it is short term, under constant supervision, and you will be completely disassociating your account with them when you are finished.

You should use your own landing page that you can update as needed. So if you stop advertising for them or they close or change something that is not in compliance with Adwords, then you can update your landing page accordingly to not promote them. You should also delete all ads for sites you are no longer promoting.

I know you don't want to hear it but you are responsible for this. Google already gave you a break once and you went and did the same thing again with multiple sites. Of course they are going to ban you under those circumstances. You already knew better. They already warned you. You did it again anyway and multiple instances of it.

Learn your lesson this time and don't do the same thing with other ad networks. Learn their rules and abide by them. And if you make a mistake and they give you a second chance, don't ever commit that violation again.
