Facebook Ad Assistance Needed Please

I'm currently running an ad for conversions for my boudoir photography. It's tough to get ads approved by Facebook as I have to be very careful with the images I select; I try to only use images that show just the face.
Anyway, this particular ad set is to get opt-ins to my drip campaign when they sign up to download a complimentary boudoir magazine.
Facebook reports 6 "conversions" but they are only clicking through, not signing up.
Not sure what the issue is.

Conversions count when the conversion pixel is triggered. Most likely that the conversion pixel is inserted on the landing page and therefore counts every visit as a conversion. If you just want to count opt-ins then you need to obviously put the pixel on the confirmation page that visitors get directed to after opting in.

      Hi bodaciousbetty,

It wasn't clear to me if you needed help on you conversion tracking implementation, or in getting a better conversion rate?

If it was merely the conversion tracking implementation, then follow Bright Future's advice and place the conversion tracking code only on the thank you page that is displayed after a user opts in to your list.

If you are looking for advice on how to improve conversion rates then the first suggestion I would make is to include text in your ads that is more specific and clear about what you are offering. In the example you provided there is no mention of photography, which I presume is the service that you offer. So, most people could guess and get that right, but that might not be the reason they are clicking the ad. If you improve the clarity of your offer within your ad text you are likely to get a better targeted response, and more conversions.

Besides improving the clarity of your ad text, I would also suggest testing a variety of selling points by creating an ad that is identical in every way except for the primary selling point of your ad text. This will help you to identify which message your target audience is responding to most favorably.

You can do similar test for images, but start with the words, that is the part of the message the you have the most controlled influence.
