Hey warriors!

So I've been playing around with Bing PPC recently, and I had an idea.

I'm an affiliate with ShareASale, so it's a lot of physical products and other goods (really, whatever you can imagine, they have a TON of merchants).

Usually with affiliate marketing, the first and foremost aspect people say is to build a list.

However, I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck just direct linking to physical products or the stores with PPC? Are the commissions too low?

My thoughts are that as you make campaigns, you'll learn how to make good ads and pick good products and pick good keywords, so the more you do, the less optimization you'll have to do, as you're initial set-ups for each campaign will already be optimized.

Any feedback or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

Direct linking will bring fewer sales in most cases. That doesn't mean it's impossible to be profitable, but it makes it harder and your profit will be less if you do manage it. You can split test and see whether it's worth it to you or not to direct link.

I don't know where you got the idea that optimization will not be necessary or less necessary. You will still need to optimize every campaign and continue to optimize for the entire life of the campaign.
