Does adwords is good choice in 2016 ???

Hi there i have a BIG quastion does adwords is working for you in 2016 .I want to know becouse they are so expensive now , sometimes even if in google reserch tool they show me 0,20$ bid after adding a group of 5 keywords all with sugested bid around 0,20$ google dosnt show the ad and they requested 1$ to show the ad> thats sick otherway that they have problems with landing pages ...I fallow few marketers to learn form them propably everyone know Vick from HTC he say on one of his videos that he use others traffic networks (big list of traffic networks is added somwere on forum).
So do you use mostly google,bing or you have experience with other networks and you can sey they have some good cheap traffic?
I do my reserch because i want to start few campagns to test some products.
Also tell me do exist a way to make a custom audience from someone youtube subscribers for example there is a guy who have 300k sub in youtube mostly his videos are about china phones is there a way that i can somhow stole his audience and show them my ads i know google have simmilar option with youtube ads but like i said they are so expencive .

    Is Google still in business?

    Yes, of course AdWords still works in 2016.

    You will know when and if it quits working because there will be news headlines everywhere of mass layoffs at Google if it ever stops working. AdWords is Google's primary business unit it has to work or they are out of business.

    As far as being "so expensive", that is another sign of just how well it works in 2016. You know Google doesn't set the Cost per click prices, those prices are set by the amount other advertisers are willing to pay for clicks. The better it works, the higher the price advertisers are willing to pay. The better AdWords works for a keyword the higher the click costs will be, again set by your fellow advertisers.

    Of course there are other factors that affect the cost, for example Quality Scores. If you are really bad at setting up and managing ad campaigns then you will have a poor Quality Score and that forces you to pay much higher than your competitors are paying for the same ad positions. I suspect that your own personal experience of higher than estimated cost are due to poor quality scores. If you learn how to setup and optimize campaigns you can save a lot of money on CPC.

    I have, and currently do use a number of different ad networks, AdWords is my favorite because it generally makes the most profit for me and my clients. In part due to the volume of traffic. Even when it has a lower ROI than other channels it often still generates the bulk of all total profit. It's hard to beat it.

      It's working better than in 2017, as far as I can remember.

      Anyways, Adwords still works, you just have to plan it all out before spending any money. Do you want to sell a product, build an email list and so on.

        LOL, yes, I am struggling to remember how it worked way back in 2017, for some reason 2017 is just a blank to me at this time.

    Yes i know that google is doing very well, the point is that im just asking about experienced users do you stick still with google or you use other networks i read that many people prefer to use bing thnt google ...The point is that do you recomended still to use google even if its more expensive or you have better and cheapest traffic sources?

      Yes, absolutely still use AdWords because that is where the bulk of all of the buyers are looking to make a purchase, Most go to Google, or Youtube, the 2 largest search engines, to search for products or services to purchase. If you are not there then you are missing out on the majority of all purchases made in your niche, in most instances.

      You can sometimes get a better ROI in other places like Bing, but better ROI does not always equal more profit. Since AdWords typically has 10 times the volume of conversions, you can have way better ROI on Bing, but still make less profit that you get from AdWords. It is the volume of conversions that makes the difference.

    As far as I know Adwords worked better in 2015 as a free keyword research tools. But need to check well this year 2016. Hope this will work best in 2016.

    Google adwords works very well as that is where the bulk of the traffic is.
    If you want to succeed on the internet in any form google is the place. I have been running adwords campaigns for years and do very well.

      Of cause GoogleAdwords still works?? They are the pioneers, how can it ever stop working? All you need to do is play it by their rules and you won't have any problems.

      The trouble we have is we are pressed for time and hurry to place ads without learning carefully to understand how it works first because it takes time to learn.

      The problem I have had in the past is I never used to give it time, time to let the ads run, time to tweak ads, time to properly master it, it takes time and discipline.

      My question at the moment are they still accepting our good old squeeze page for as long as it has links to Terms of service, Disclaimers, Privacy etc?? Or what are the issues around that?

      What should one not do? Let's share the don'ts please if we may.

      Like place ads promising people how to make money topics and other undesirable stuff that is a no no?

      everyone tells you this but you have to look for the alternative to adwords they are out there you have to look continously and far and wide. When you find an option milk it for all its worth but do not abuse your results gained from hard work

    Thank you for your answers can tell you that in my opnon google dosnt work for everyone because they are so expenscve!!! I I create a campaign (before it i learn a lot about creating ads qualty score ect) my campaign was selllng a product for a price of 45$ - i know that this product sell well because i have sales everyday from organic serch and youtube traffc thats is also free...i spend 20 pounds get a click for 0,54GBP for exact match keywords(i targeted them to peoples that are willng to buy) that have from 900-4500 imopresons monthly i spend all money and get no sales ...you will say the landing page bla bla bla i know like i said the product sell from organic serch ...0,54GBP damn so i must get sales from every 20 click to earn money from it ....is so ******* expensive in facebook i get traffic from targeted custom audiences for 0,10$ and from post promotion even cheaper-0,01....google nowdays is so expensive .its super hard to make money from it i know big companies can afford to spend 300 000$ per month but a startup has no chance !m you want to compare with a big companes and pay 3$ per click whtf so you must have super conversion max-1/20 to get money from it...in my situation i will stay with free youtube traffic and facebook ...cause google s to expensive for me !

      Let me see If I got this straight, you spent only £20 on AdWords and did not get a sale.

      I hope you realize that spending £20 is not going to give you enough data to draw a valid conclusion from, that's way too little.

      Perhaps you looked a the CPC and thought it was too expensive? You know it generally takes way more than £20 to figure out the best ad position to maximize profit. It takes way more than that to establish a reliable conversion rate. It might take more than that to get your first Quality Score adjustment.

      By the way, what were your Quality Scores?

      What was your average ad position?

      Were your ads even showing on the first page of results?

      In some niches the the top ads get 90% of all sales, were your ads in top ad positions?

      What about your ads, did you test various selling points? Were you ads getting good CTR? Were you targeting the best keywords, based on data, or just a guess of what you think ought to work?

      There are hundreds of things that you might have done wrong. You should not assume that you did everything right and that AdWords is too expensive to make money. You certainly did not give it a fair go if you only spent only £20. And there's not much chance that you got everything right on the first go round.

      The prices aren't fixed on AdWords either, there are many things that can be done to optimize your campaigns' performance, but not by spending only £20.

    My quality score was 7, i was only advertaiser so my ads was 1 in first page,yeah only 20 pounds how much i must spend to sell a 45$ product 1000$? its insane cause in facebook ands in same day i spend only 3$ and got 50$ sales - and my campaign is still runing cause its makin me money.But adwords damn i got clicks, i created title exacly about what i sell then in short discrpton i even add price to eliminate people who cant affort the product ...im not going to judge but i found many opinion in web that adwords this day isnt good for everyone mayby for people who have free cupons from google or big companies with unlimited budget, for people who want to earn money not waste it with small buissnes hmm i think google is not good for everyone for some buissnes they working well but with some niches and buissneses just dont ...at this moment i run still my google ads also i will change account and start again with google coupon then it will be cheaper but like i said earlier facebook was warking better for me with same product and in the same time with simmilar amount of clicks- it was just cheaper and with custom audience more laser targeted

      It's not that AdWords has been working bad for you. It's just that in this case Facebook has worked incredibly well and you compare AdWords performance to this super-effective Facebook campaign which is not the norm.

      It should be obvious that advertising budget which is half the product price isn't much. Maybe you'll get 2 or 3 sales out of the next 20 pounds you spend. It's just a really small sample size.

      But if you're annoyed by these results then you should probably stick with what's already working for you.

    What niche are you in? What keywords are you aiming for? Did you try to aim for the long tail, less competition keywords?

    im in a small niche with no adwords competitors i target my add to keywords that have from 900-4000 monthly serches others have only 20-100 i know that people who are using this keywords are interested exact this kind of product - i know also that if this product price was 10$ propably i will have 50% conversion or more but is imposible - 45$ is the price that works with organic serch and people buy the product(thats why i added price in my add to get only customers who can afford the price) , facebook is working so well cause i created custom audience from people who had visited my site and from my customer email list so many of them purchuase others items erlier and know the products and my site....yes 20 pounds isnt much for a sample but it is small buissnes and i must count every cent so i cant make mistake trying to wach how it goes with 1000$ waste....i will try some more with another google acount and free coupon for it will be easier to lose mostly virtual money than real
    BTW i got 7% CTR to think my add is good cause people are interested

    Adwords and Bing Ads remain the best traffic sources. They might be expensive if you don't know how to run your campaigns. However, once you master some techniques you can make great profits, no matter how competitive the niche is.
