  • Sounds like a bridge page to me, among other things. So, no.

Bridge page: a page you send your visitors to that is basically a rehash of your own. You can't send someone from your own sales page to the affiliate's sale page. It's bad user experience. It's like listening to a sales clerk in a store and when you say you'll buy it, another sales clerk gives the same sales pitch. Just take me to the checkout!

Squeeze page: the typical definition is a page with little content and only asking for email before showing actual information about a product or service. That is against policies.

Explain to me what you mean by squeeze page "rotation".

If I understand correctly, the display URL of your ads will be the Clickbank page while if one clicks the ad, will be taken to your own page. That is against the rules. The landing page domain when ads are clicked must be the same as advertised.

Then, there is the issue if the CB page complies with on-page policies. Most that I've seen don't.

No, on multiple levels. No, you can not rotate landing pages with Bing ads, so no rotating squeeze pages. Clicking on the ad has to send them to the same page every time. No, your display url can not be the sales page - it has to be the url or domain of the landing page, which in this case would be your squeeze page.

Thanks for your quick replies . As I have $100 bing account , can you tell me how to use it with cb?

as I think direct linking to the sales page is bad idea. waiting for your replies.

  • Direct linking is a bad idea only if the page violates any policies. If it does, don't direct link to it.

But even if it's OK now, doesn't mean it will still be OK in the future. Pages do change. If you advertise a weight loss product for example and the page doesn't mention ephedrine nor makes exaggerated claims such as lose ten pounds in two days, you are fine now. But if the owner decides to change tactics that results in violating policies, you are responsible. There are many affiliate marketers in this very forum who have had their Google Adwords account banned because of things like this. Don't think the same couldn't happen because you are using Bing.

My advice for affiliate marketers and direct linking is to know and understand the rules. Then stick to safe affiliates. The chances of an affiliate selling iPhone products making a change on the page that would be against the policies are slim. I'd stay away from anything to do with health and make money types.

I will suggest you ask directly from Bing. They will specify which tracking technology they allow and which one they don't..

    Hope that helps
