Wondering about using content ppc to make sales?

Hey everybody. Been awhile since I've been on here but was hoping to get some advice from any experienced ppc users. I have been using maxbounty and bing ads for a few months and have had some pretty good success using exact keywords for some of the offers that I have. The problem is that the most sales I have ever gotten in a single day is 4. This made me think that if I can get 4 sales a day that I should be able to get at least 10 with other relevant keywords. I did a test the other day and even though I got almost 500 clicks, I was only able to get 1 sale. This was about a $30 mistake and I quickly removed the keywords that were obviously getting looked at but weren't specific enough to get any sales. My question is that I am still trying to figure out how to get 10 sales a day and was wondering if anybody has used content ppc before and if it is worth it? I tried using the phrases before and noticed the same trend as before, that I would get a lot of clicks but no extra sales to make it worthwhile. I am totally willing to spend $100 a day if I can make $200 and hope that I can talk some more with somebody that has already accomplished this. Thanks
