Earning From Twitter

I know popular journalists who get a lot of traffic via twitter, and it helps them rank due to all the buzz and activity.


That should be convertible to some sort of revenue, at least advertisements.

With Twitter, as with any social platform, it all depends on what you are offering, and if the people following you are interested in what you 're offering. Then you'll have to build up a large enough audience to get decent traffic from it, since only a small percentage of these followers will clickthrough to your website/offer.

Twitter has promoted tweets which you can use to reach a larger audience, if you want to spend money to do so. It will take testing a few campaigns to get an idea of what you're up against, and to decide whether you want to continue using Twitter or not.

It really depends on what you are offering, the relevancy of your tweet to your audience and the primary objectives of your campaign. If you campaign is geared towards exposure or CPV(cost per view) then twitter can be effective, if it is a conversion based campaign, you have to make sure that your landing page and keywords are optimized correctly(aka buyer keywords).

Only one thing keep in mind focus on target customers.

It's actually easy on some offers, but I find that a lot of the active people on Twitter are a bit younger.

Here's something I did for a little with easy "free trial" offers or email/pin submits etc. etc....

Let's say you have an offer for finding cheap car insurance, and they pay you $2 per email submit. I would go on Twitter and type in "i need car insurance" in the search bar, sort by Newest/Live. Usually there were at least 20 people per day saying this exact phrase. I then would just post something personal like "Hey <name>, this is what I used to find my car insurance: <LINK TO OFFER>. It helps you compare all the prices and plans at once :-)"

Another example, let's say you have a Install offer that pays $5 every time someone downloads a Poker game and installs/plays it. I would search "I want to play poker" or "I want to learn how to play poker", and do the same thing.

Anyone can do that but after 2-3 days on average my Twitter accounts got banned, I'm not sure if you Direct Message people if that will make it less likely to be banned, might want to test.

That is just free traffic but you can also use their paid traffic. Twitter has a ton of people but like I said a lot are young, so maybe don't try to promote offers that cost lots of money. Free trials and email submits worked good.

Way of promotion is different in each and every platform but the motto is same for each platform.
In twitter, if you use #tags and retweet for the targeted audience. While doing so you can enhance the traffic instantly.

First focus on building followings on specific niche and become authority in that niche. It takes time but later when you start promoting something on that account, most likely your followers will react to your tweets. Twitter is just another Social Media where you can build following fairly easy and bring people to your website or offers. Don't be pushy in the start since people will notice as there are a lot of people doing just that. Remember, quality over quantity, and in this case quality content to lots of followers. Later when you build respectable account you can start promoting offers and increase traffic to wherever you choose.

Popular accounts post paid tweets, account must have valid followers, they can really retweet and make favorite your actions.

Or heck, even posting on your profile can be very profitable (depending on your audience).
