Bing ads - destination URLs without affiliate links?

Hello,

I am beginner with bing ads and rather very disappointed. I want to know if using direct affiliate links from clickbank, jvzoo etc can be used in "Destination URLs" section in bing ads?

Disappointed because I found out that this kind of affiliate URLs may not comply with bing policies. I read one of the policies which says, display and destination URLs should be same.

Any input from seniors is most welcome!

You can direct link from Bing to Clickbank and other offers. By direct linking, the destination url is still the same as the display url.

Hi...can you please elaborate on what you're trying to say?

For example, I have this link http://abcdef.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=1212 (random link) from clickbank..and similar links from other offers...but bing support guy clearly mentioned in the conversation that I cannot use this link...even if display and landing page URLs are same domains (or domain extensions)...

Bing does not allow links that are not cloaked like the clickbank hoplink you posted above. When promoting clickbank products make the domain is the same name as the product you are promoting:

For example, if the product you promote is called, "extreme fat loss" then your url should be something like
www. extremefatloss.net then redirect it to your affiliate product (or create a subdomain) or use a plugin called "Pretty link" (if your a wordpress user).

There are lots of other ways to cloak your affiliate link.

@Justin012 Great.. Thanks for responding. That explains a lot. Yep I'm a WordPress user But suppose I redirect a domain or subdomain immediately (without having a landing page) , is it ok for bing? I did not find a concrete policy against or in favour of this practice. Can you please confirm this if you know?

Yes, you can. I do it myself. Just make sure your destination link has the same keywords as the product your promoting. It's a good idea to get confirmation from Bing first, they have a live chat which is exceĺlent. They are also very supportive.

You can also use a script like ERS instead of a plugin.

          Hi Justin!
Your feedback was so powerful. Can I have a question? If I promote the product that something like Plugin, Software, Training,.. Can I make the domain like "product+review". For example, I promote the product 'CPA Masters Academy' and I make domain that 'cpamastersacademyreview.com' is it also good? Does it have no influence at all?

It depends on the product you are promoting.

If the product owns copyrights to their brand,
they can issue an order to take your domain down.

To be safe, always try to keep your domain as generic as possible.

For example, a good domain will be "review.com/cpamastersacademy"

In this case, even if you get sued for using their name,
you can just remove a page instead of taking down an entire site.

Hope that makes sense to you.

This. I have done that before.. some domain providers even let you mask the redirect so after landing on the destination page, the url on top will still only be your domain name.

I have done more than a hundred adgroups with links like those. I am still direct linking to Clickbank products like this. All my ads were reviewed by Bing recently without any problems a few days ago. I don't understand why Bing support would say this.

I've just start do affiliate. I found out that going on top of Bing is quite easy. It take me 1 week to do it.
During this week I built my content and some backlinks.
When I search the keywords: "pure reiki healing review" on Bings my site (PURE REIKI HEALING REVIEW - Pure Reiki Healing review) is ranked in top 3.
But I do not know why my traffic is really low, just 4-5 traffics a day. Seem most of people use Google instead of Bing for searching.

      Hi, Khue Ngoc Vu

Possible reasons why you don't see a lot of traffic:

      1) Your site is not actually top 3 but it shows up at the top for you because you often visit it. Do a search through an incognito window and check if it's still top 3.

      2) The keyword pure reiki healing review has very little search volume. Even Google keyword planner only shows 10 searches a month, so there might be basically no search volume for this phrase on Bing.

Oh really? Well thank you so much. Actually, I've just start do affiliate with clickbank, so your comment is very helpful for me!

Yep. Always remember to check the keyword search volume before promoting that keyword. Be it bing or google

  • I learn that, you can always mask the affiliates URL, if the affiliate provide the links.
Or, use another landing page to redirect to the affiliates after the user sign up.

    You can use cloacking services.

    There are plenty of them.

When you cloak an address there is there a way to have the "www. extremefatloss.net"address if your product is "extreme fat loss" or if the URL of the product is "www.extremefatloss.net"

If you use pretty link you have to have a own domain. So for example, if you use Pretty Link you will end up with a link like:

    www.owndomain.com/extremefatloss

    NOT

    www.extremefatloss.net/extremefatloss

Is this good enough for Bing Ads?
