Dear Warriors,

Firstly (being this my first post) I have to say that Warrior forum have helped me a lot in all aspects of marketing and web development in general. I want to say thanks to everyone for sharing so much knowledge in this community.

I have been a marketing manager in a retail/wholesale company for 4 months now. For having listened to advices, especialy on this forum, I have managed to do a very positive change in our e-commerce business (growth in conversions, returning visitors, Facebook engagement, E-bay, sales...).

In order to grow bigger I need a solution to automate remarketing, DN and SN ads creation and other IM activities, as we offer more than 2000 products that are demanded by different audiences.

I would be very pleased if you could give me some advice about best practices for IM automatization.

Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Hanont

    Hi, Hanont

There is an option called dynamic search ads where you can just enter your site URL and let Google automatically match keywords to your website content.

I'm not so sure if this kind of campaign would perform very well but you can try it.

Google also offers dynamic remarketing where people see ads of the products they viewed. You can just upload your product feed to Google Merchant Center to use this feature.

  • Hello Hanont.

There's not many things you can do to automate PPC optimization. Like Bright Future, I have not tried dynamic search ads. Simply put, I will not let some system do things for me, that's not what my clients pay me for. I would be very careful about letting an algorithm making decisions for you, and I talk as a systems developer!

The best way to have the best campaigns possible is manual. Put brain cells to work. Sure, there are tools to help you. I use them all the time to generate all kinds of reports from data and point me in the right direction as to what I should do. But I don't let it make those decisions for me.

      Hello LucidWebMarketing,

I would dissagree with you about using only manual method.

      Example:
Through time and A/B testing you have discovered what type of visual content (for DN), text ads content (SN) and remarketing method (audience, channel...) is the most suitable for achieving high ROI in your industry.

If you want to cover the whole conversion funnel, which is optimized for one product you need about 1 - 2 hours. If you have more than 300 products it becomes a problem.
Especialy if you want to boost a group of ads in time of promotion, seasons... where you need to do a reoptimization of whole conversion funnel.

      Regards,
      Hanont

  • I'm not saying not to use automation at all. I'm saying be careful what you automate and just as important, how. I speak from experience.
