Hi Warriors,

can anyone help me with the following.

Basically I have crossed over to the new style of pixel that FB has implemented and I have pasted the code on to my squeeze page and edited it for view content and then done the same to my thankyou page and edited that for lead.

So far so good.

I then set up a campaign to optimize for website conversions and then on the drop down box where it asks you for the pixel I select lead and not view content.

So far so good I then run ads for day or two testing on a small budget £30 per day ($50) and the problem comes when the data comes in.

I've set my campaign to optimize for conversions the conversion being the lead. In my mind I'm asking FB to go out and find me as many people as similar to those who convert and I'm payin when they convert i.e. hit the thankyou page and become a lead.

Looking at my stats after spending £42.60 I received 66 conversions for a price of £0.65, which is great I think until I break down the performance of the add in the reporting and see that of those 66 conversions 47 of them are content views (i.e. click to the squeez page) and 19 of the conversions are actual leads who opted in.

The 19 leads tallyied with my lead pages stats and awebber as well.

So my frustration comes from the fact that Im optimizing and wanting to pay for the leads but not the clicks to the squeeze page.

Why does FB charge me for and count as a conversion the view content when clearly I have told it to optimize for the lead when I created the campaign? In the old style of pixel you told it to otpimize for the lead and that's what you got?

Can anyone help or shed some light on what is a hugely frustrating experience?

Thanks for all your comments in advance
