Marketing in the rich countries

I was thinking of marketing in the more richer countries than the US like Qatar and etc. And also their CPC are extensively lower than the CPC of the US. Do you guys think it's a good idea? Any experiencess?

    Although these countries have people with large sums of money, taken as a whole, these countries are not more rich than the US.
    Also, the US has a larger audience you can market to. There might be sheiks in Qatar, but you can`t tell me that more people have access to the internet in Qatar than in the US.

    You should give it a try if you have your mind set on it and see how it goes, but in my opinion the big bucks are made in Western Europe and the US. (why do you think Qatar has a lower CPC?)
