Is Reddit good for advertising a gaming website?

It sounds like you've answered your own question as to whether or not Reddit is worth your time.

From my understanding of the demographic, I would say that Reddit is indeed a good place to get potential interest in a gaming site.

As for your lack of success with Facebook, are you specifically targeting people who play games?

You can create custom audiences so your ads only target users who "like" certain pages; these should be official gaming pages or even fan pages.

Anyway, I really hope this works out for you since you seem to have a passion for it.

Reddit community really hates ads and marketing. It's a place that can deliver traffic really fast. The problem is that when it comes to dealing with the community they are not to quick to trust or give away their email unless it's worth their wild or they trust you.

You can get 1000's cpm for pennies and traffic is quick and fast but unless you make your opt-in sound amazing they wont sign up. Invest $5 and give it a try make the offer fun and give the gamer's something to be thankful for.

Think like a gamer not an internet marketer.

Facebook ads are great for building a following.

Create a fan page for your website
Choose a targeted campaign in your niche
Send them to your page and give them a reason to hit that LIKE button!

Once they like your page everything you post on their page will be seen on their timeline. If they like what they see they will click it and BAM! website traffic and maybe an opt-in or two.

The great thing about them liking your page is that as long as their a fan you will always get the chance for them to visit your website and eventually opt-in to your email list.

reddit is good advertisement site for product. so you can go on for advertising for game.

Reddit can be amazing.

You can get hundreds of hits in days. But the thing is, if your content is 110% + another 50% good, then you won't get many results.

So I suggest before paying for ads, to just post your link in a very relevant subreddit, and see peoples response to it.
If you get amazing feedback, you are good to go with ads. If not, take the feedback and work with it.

Have you tried AdWords? It's Google's advertising platform. They are currently the biggest "in town", so I think you'll have plenty of traffic to access if you've got the money.

However, I recommend you read as mush as you can on this subject as making money with them is really not as easy as setting up a campaign for a few keywords and "seeing money rushing in."
