Hi guys,

Just a quick question I wouldlike to know the steps you need to take when tracking a direct link CPA sale ?

I`m alittle confused as you obviously cannot put code on sales page, thank you page ect ??

I know its easy with clickbank and the `tid` but how do you do this when using many different CPA offers ?

thanks James

You will need to use a third party tracker such as Prosper202 with callback from your CPA network e.g.

Hey James- You're leaving food on the table by direct linking. You should always try and build your list (even with CPA offers). I use clickmagic to track all my offers. You can even go as far as tracking the keywords that are converting.

Yes I already know this I will start to do this once I find some converting offers but while I have you could you help me with tracking using clickmagick and let me know if I`ve set this up correct..

Heres a screen shot of the pixels from the tracking software I`m using Clickmagick ClickMagick Links | Awesome Screenshot

If you look the pixel code looks like this..
      <img src="h t t p : / / w w w.clkmg.com/api/s/pixel/?uid=28428&att=2&amt=0.00&ref=" height="1" width="1" />

So I cut it down to..
      h t t p : / / w w w.clkmg.com/api/s/pixel/?uid=28428&att=2&amt=0.00&ref=

And because my affiliate network asks for the link to be HTTPS I just added the `S`

And heres a screen shot of how I added them into my affilate network..
GrabAds Media Group - Affiliate Portal | Awesome Screenshot

Ok have I done this correct ?

I notice I can also just add the postback URL into my affilate network would this be better ?

      Thanks for any advise

      James

When you're starting out with direct linking you don't absolutely need a tracker yet. It adds complexity to the process and adds resistance to the sales flow as there's an extra redirect.

It's pretty easy just add a Sub-ID to the end of your affiliate link (varies from network to network, ex. Maxbounty's is &s2=) and then append/attach your dynamic keyword token. This depends on your traffic network, ex. for bing it's {KeyWord}.

This will then pass the data to your affiliate network and from there you can run reports and see your winning keywords.

If your traffic network has server-to-server tracking then you can add that to your affiliate network and you can see your winning keywords from your traffic network which some people find is easier as you can trim your keywords from there.
