Hi,
My friend is planning to start a company of IT services and also planning to promote their business online. We all know that SEO makes the website drive traffic as well good search engine rankings. But as it would take long time with SEO, is it fine if we chose PPC for the business promotion for this start-up company?

      Hi
Yes it' is good for a startup because with PPC you will see what works quicker than SEO , so use PPC to get fast results then SEO the keywords that are converting.
As stated before you do need to know how to run a PPC campaign
      Hope this helps

I've been down this road a few times, especially with our latest startup TrustSpot = http://www.trustspot.io We launched our first PPC campaign last week anwith aggressive spending on competitor keywords, and we've had a good amount of leads come to our site. Since we offer a free account option, we've seen more people sign up for that option (which we expected) versus our paid plans which is perfectly fine.

Understanding how to setup a budget is a different story, we started with a few simple $500 budget, watched our campaign over the course o the week, recorded how well keywords were converting for us and made changes everyday. Even though its only been a week, we have a better understanding of what works and what doesn't, so when we are ready to really turn on the firehouse (PPC) in the future, this small experiment at least gave us more confidence into what we are doing.

If you're new to PPC, always start with a test budgets and optimize as you go along. There are plenty of companies out there that do managed PPC campaigns, but they are generally pretty expensive,, often taking a percentage of your budget.

PPC is a very fast way to test your market.
I would advise your friend not to spend too much time in perfecting his/her product, but making a working prototype and then getting leads/beta testers through PPC.

Yes, it can work great. I would look into doing Facebook videos that are local. LinkedIn ads is another place to promote business to business services.

I always suggest to my clients that go for PPC if you have a margin in your product coz its expensive. Else go for FB ads

Set a test budget, have plenty of keywords and maybe do a combination of PPC, LinkedIn Ads and Facebook Ads.
