Bing Guidelines for Affiliate Website

What does Bing look for on a website that is promoting a Clickbank product? My thoughts are Home-About-Blog -Contact-Terms of Service-Privacy Policy with
at least 5 articles in the Blog.

I would use a fast loading theme and include lnking to internal pages? Anyone have suggestions from their own Bing experiences promoting affiliate products?

  • Im not sure where you heard 5 articles. You don't need any minimum number of articles. It doesn't matter what platform the product is from.

On your website, you just need a privacy policy and contact page. Plus you need to ensure there aren't any entry/exit pop-up's or auto-play videos on the site.

Using a fast loading theme is a good idea because loading speed is factored into the quality score.
  • Thanks for the tips. The Clickbank sales page does have a video that auto plays. Will that be an issue with Bing once the visitor leaves my site and hits that page?

I miscommunicated on the articles. I plan to load an article a day for 5 days before going live with the site so that my site does not appear to be too weak on content. Just my thought and not suggested to me by anyone. The main purpose for my site is being a pre sale page for the Clickbank product I will be promoting and possibly later list building. Listbuilding would be a main objective normally but this is a niche that I am using to learn with. The cost will be low and hopefully enough traffic for me to learn a little on testing.

    • It's okay if the Clickbank sales page has a video that auto plays as long as your linking to it from your own landing page.

There was an IM course in 2014 by Mark Bishop called "Instant Profit Silo's". It taught that building a landing page using a silo that contains related pages with the same keyword increases the quality score on Bing. I haven't heard anyone on forums such as the WF recommend this though, so it doesn't seem that it's worth building a silo.

  • Yes with Bing you just need a Privacy Policy and No Autoplays and popups. If you are taking leads then u must state the opt out policy

    • You posted in the wrong thread. Find one where "SEO Experts" hang out.
  • That is the catcher, I always go with a landing page or try to find a different Clickbank product to start testing first.

    • Hi Greedy I am not sure I understand. I will build a wordpress site to use as a landing page. Once the visitor leave my site they will get the product sales page which does have a video. Are you saying that is an issue? Are you saying that I should test between that product and another in this niche to see if the video sales page converts better or worse than the other product?
  • Only thing they look at is NO autoplay and NO pop-ups. If you don't have these, they will pretty much approve anything.
