Hello,
I have been researching on affiliate marketing and the whole idea of it and how it works and it's methods and success stories before I ask any question let me introduce myself a bit

I am a web developer with 3 years of experience
I have experience in SEO
I already have ran campaigns in adwords PPC for local events
In the past i have promoted some cpa offers through adscendmedia via their content locker.
But then I was more focused towards my main goal which was becoming a experienced web developer in which I have done several projects in angularjs,asp.net webapi REST services,jquery,asp.net mvc5 mssql, linq, spring framework, jsp along with some more..

I havent done any online monetization for more than a year now and now want to start fresh with combination of skills I have.
So
Is promoting clickbank products via PPC a good idea?
I dont get the idea of promoting clickbank products's landing pages directly via ppc obviously there would be pre sales page but wont that drop conversions?
Why does more than 80% of clickbank product promise to 'change your life forever' when they are nothing more then just ebooks or similar digital product, it looks like they are trying really hard to sell something that isn't worth buying or wont really 'change your life'.

Where should I start with what i have? I do have some money to invest in ppc and alot of time also.

You can use Bing to promote Clickbank products but it is very dangerous with Google. Google considers most Clickbank products to be scammy for one of the reasons you mentioned. It is very easy to get a lifelong ban from Google. Besides the pre-sell, one use of a landing page is to capture e-mail addresses and build a list to which you can market later on. It is true that it may hurt conversions but you may earn more in the long term.

I have used Bing to sell Clickbank products. I have had some success but I would count it as a short term strategy to get your feet wet first. I did direct linking but now busy building a list and engaging with the niche.

Promoting Clickbank products via PPC is a good idea, but only if you choose a good ad network and have a good marketing plan.

Pre-selling doesn't drop conversions. In fact, it does the opposite, it increases them because pre-selling acts like an endorsement of the product, so people aren't just being sold on the benefits of the product by the product vendor themselves.

Because many of those products pray on people's desire to desperately find a solution to their problem and use excessive hype and even out right lies to try to hook people into buying it. CB products have a 60 day money back guarantee, but some people will be either too busy or forget to ask for a refund within that period.

Research many of these CB products and read the threads on real forums. The people who have actually used them are saying they are a scam.

There are quality products on Clickbank, but many of the products are borderline scams even if they aren't a scam in the legal sense of the word.

Thanks for the explanation, So I need to gain some initial experience in affiliate marketing and for that I think I should go with bing and clickbank as mentioned by some people here, after researching the right product i am sure my first few sales will put me on the right track if I am able to make any,as for now it's all theory for me I will start up on bing+cb to see how the practical goes. Will post updates to get advice from you guys.

My advice is exactly the same as most of the great replied above. Promote clickbank offers with bing ppc with a landing page. Reinvest in building a list and continue growing...
