Hi everyone, i'm going to start advertising on PLA soon, i have about 400-500 products and they are all rings and necklaces. (custom jewelry).

I plan to spend about $200~ at first and see the results. should i put up all 500~ products or only my best ones? Whats is your strategy for PLA? I am thinking of starting the budget low, maybe at $5 a day then scale it up.

looking to hear from anyone who has used PLA successfully and made a profit with this thing.

I used to use Google Product Limitings for a Paintball Ecommerse website I manage, (now disapproved by Google) anyways I found success in the best selling products, and in the ones harder to find. Obviously if your selling customer jewelry than all your products are hard to find. What kind of stock do you maintain on these items? If you upload 500 items but after a week only have 450 in stock, thats 50 items you need to make sure are NOT running on Google Product ads, and potentially getting clicks when you can not sell them. Have you uploaded and experimented with test uploads yet? Its not difficult to do, and depending on your eCommerce platform, if you monitor stock on there it can auto generate and update your product feed to Google in which case it doesnt matter, upload them all and test out how they do. Either way I would put up more initially to test how certain products do. Depending on competitor results and advertising your best performing items may not be what you expect.

I have never setup the campain but what i think is you should not put all your 500 items at once instead try for only the best once and get the result. If you find this profitable then for for some more products. If all the products will be listed at once then it may happen that you dnt get much profit and then all your money will be wasted. Apart from google ads try for Social Media Ads also now a days more people are involves in Social Media and many sales come from those platforms.

First step I would take is to ensure my product titles make sense and are optimized. I would then also ensure that my shopping feed is fully optimized, contains all the required data, and is filled out correctly, while following the policies of Google. Wacky titles, could lead to some wacky search queries, which cost money that you won't get back and might not lead to any sales.

In Shopping you don't declare keywords, so your titles and descriptions can dictate which queries you show up for. Sometimes your naming convention could prevent you from showing up in the right queries. Very important.

Second step, Ensure that I can compete price wise. Shopping is a price comparison engine, price does matter (mostly) - Sometimes not so much, especially for unique items.

Third Your Budget and Products - Your budget is very small - hence you may have an issue getting enough market share to make a difference if you push out 500 sku's specially if there is search volume there. Jewelry is highly competitive - So you should probably experiment with the products you put in the network and where you should market them too. Geo targeting may provide some help. As will as segmenting your products to try and get more share in the market.

Perhaps think about shrinking your Geo with that low of a budget to particular states or cities you have had success with if any.

Shopping is great. If you can get the right products in the system, have the right budget, and a fully optimized feed, you'll find success. That platform is really a must for eCommerce. As a tip - Don't stop there - Re marketing, conjoining text campaigns, and branding campaigns will help improve chances for success.

You need to properly optimize your feed, having keywords like wholesale, discount in title as well. And always go with your best selling product. Analyze your competitors and their pricing.
