Hello everyone,

I've been trying to make money promoting Clickbank products using Bing for a few months now with no results. A few days ago I decited to set up 3 campaigns in different niches. About 10 minutes after I finished setting up the campaigns, I checked my Clickbank account and saw that I made $84.84 from two campaigns!! You'll see a picture of my earnings below. Now I'm motivated to learn how to optimize as much as possible so I can scale this up. I would like to start making sales like this daily. What would be the best way to optimize these campaigns?

Sep 16th update: I've been running my Bing campaign for a week now and I made another sale of $37 today in addition to the $84.84 sales so my total is $122. My goal is to eventually make at least one sale a day! I will keep you guys updated!!
#pay per click/search engine marketing (ppc/sem) #$84 #bing #clickbank #sale
  • Congrats sunshne721!

Here are the lists that could help you to scale up.
    1. Track which keywords is driving profit for you.
    2. Increase your spending to get more traffic
    3. Optimize your quality score to get cheaper clicks
    4. Test a variance of landing pages to increase conversion
    5. Use a fast server to reduce loading time.

    • Thanks! I will work on each of those. Btw, I was able to make these sales by just direct linking, but I know that a good landing page can greatly increase my results. Since I already have a list, I'm not really interested in building another one. I'm thinking about using either Sendlane or Instapages to create a landing page.

    • Solarwarrior do you have any recommendations on a faster server? WPEngine is one I've heard of but starting out with little money I thought I would first just try a fast loading theme.

  • Do you have any Bing Advertising Manual/Tutorials that you can share with us?
    • [1] reply
    • Asiboyz not at the moment, but I might consider creating my own tutorial sometime soon. I also recommend that you follow SolarWarrior and his posts, he's a true expert in this area.

  • What niches? Healthy or make money? How many keywords per campaign and per group? Which match types?
  • Hi,

Just a few question as I'm thinking to get started. Is the $84 your net-profit? How much did you spend on the campaigns? And is $220 enough as a budget to get my business off the ground? I already have my own hosting and website. What is the probability of failure for a beginner's first $220 affiliate marketing attempt?

Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Ahmed

    • 220$ - you can start testing the water, maybe a build a small list and try to sell it. Personally I would suggest you to start with some CPA to get the feeling of getting some conversions, how to optimize the CTR and get some tracking data
    • Ahmed32, with $220 you can easily set up your first campaign and run it for a few days and see what your results are. Just make sure that you spend it wisely and choose your keywords carefully.

  • I advise you to create more ad texts. You will notice that CTR varies from ad to ad. Then you will keep the ads with the higher CTR that would possibly offer you a lower CPC. Make various tests with different ad texts in Bing Ads.

    • Thanks for the advice, I'm going to add 3 or 4 more ad texts. I'm also thinking about placing the keywords that are converting in the title and ad text.
    • Hello,

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely test different ad texts to see which one performs better. I'm also thinking about including some of the keywords that perform the best in the ads.
    • Hi everyone,

Thanks for all of your comments and advice. I'd like to give an update on the results of my campaign. As of today I haven't made anymore sales, but I've received over 200 clicks. So, I decided to create a landing page related to the offer to see if that would make any difference. Also, I've created three different ad texts and I've gotten rid of the keywords that aren't performing as well. I'm going to continue to run this campaign and see if the landing page will help it convert better. Hopefully, I will start getting more sales soon.

  • Amazing well done Sunshine721

    • Thanks, yes it is! I've never had results like this using any other affiliate method, so now I know what works. Most of the Clickbank products don't convert as well as they used to so finding one that does is like finding a goldmine. Thanks again and I most definitely will!
  • It sounds great. Actually I haven't used bing before. But if you want to get more exposure, you can use another platform also, like Facebook ads or Google Adwords as most people around the world use these 2 engines.
    • [1] reply
    • Thanks, Bing is more friendly towards affiliates and to me it's kind of risky to promote Clickbank products using Adwords. Facebook would be my 2nd choice because it has more traffic and more targeting options.
  • be sure to get the best from your PPC campaigns, first capture the email of your readers and after that redirect them to CB product

I don't pay for traffic anymore because I'm getting free ppc traffic

  • great job you have figured out how to get your first sale online now it's time to keep tracking the keywords that brought you the sales. now you should set up a landing page and split test them until you find your winner. then keep reinvesting your profits in scale up. Btw if you don't have it i suggest getting clickmagick.
  • Congratulation Bro I would like to interest to do Bing + Click Bank can you guide me ?

  • congratz Sunshine 21,

Keep up the good work. Look in the help for keywords in Bing. They have a lot of good information on how to start to grow your campaigns.
  • Hey just want to know without landing page will this work ?

  • Hello Did you use short link when advertising with Bing
You do not have to use your own website

    Could you tell me please
  • Well done! Did you promote Clickbank items directly, or via an intermediate (landing) page?

    • Thanks Floyd, I'm sure you'll see results soon, just don't give up. I've been trying to make money with Clickbank for over 3 years now and I'm just starting to see results.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Great. All you need now is scale your campaign. It's pretty difficult to find the winning campaign. Now you have found one, make the most out of it. I suggest you to use prosper for tracking. Its free.
    Congratulations on your success.
  • Hi, any improvements?
    • [1] reply
    • Hi, no not as of yet, I'm currently working on adding a few more ad texts to my campaign and getting rid of the keywords that aren't performing well.
  • If you are trying to increase your CTR the maybe you know your CTR is related to your ad position, which is related to the bid. I found it much easier to get a 15-20% CTR when your average position is in the top 3, and when your average position is 5+ even a 10% can be a challenge. So you may consider raising your bid and see what will happen.

    Good luck

  • I am happy for you! I got my first dollar from CPA PeerFly too few days ago with Bing ads and I am so happy now! I am trying to install Prosper202 for tracking (you should use it too to trace the keywords). Still I have bug with Prosper202 I am trying to fix it

    All the best!
  • it's BETTER direct that traffic to a SQUEEZE PAGE and then on the thank you page (the page which shows to the user after he has inserted the mail) direct at the product's sell page.

So you can market more visitors, attract more sales, without givin up the chance to sell directly to them

    • am sorry to hear that from you but why you didnt try another aff. network ?

and can you explain more how you promote these offers and got the leads ?
    • Im not sure why you say that. It says on Clickbank's website they accept payment methods such as American Express and MasterCard.

If you could only buy from Clickbank if you have credit in your Paypal, why would they require you have sales from 5 different payment methods before they will pay you.

What traffic source are you using?
Are you using a landing page or direct linking?
How are you pre-selling the product?

Most likely, the people who didn't buy did not want the product enough to go through with the transaction.

You will be making a very big mistake i you are directly linking. i wish i never did that when i started internet marketing. you can make 10x your investment if you will just collect those leads. Besides, make sure to track your campaign properly i recommend voluum as this will help you track specific keyword that are making sales.

  • Thanks sunshne721 for sharing your success. Its a real motivation to see your progress. Keep us posted.

I am still struggling with my campaign, have got 300 clicks but no sales. I am also using direct linking. Please tell us if using a landing page works for you and how much difference it makes.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Hey! I also got my first clickbank sales yesterday( one day after I started doing some ads, spent 10$CAN to sell my own product on CB for 49$US). But i have no managed to find a way to track bing ads on clickbank.

    How do you do it?
    • [1] reply
    • The best way to track is by using a 3rd party tracker such as Prosper202 or Voluum.

If you want a free option to track and you are direct linking, you could create a separate ad group for each keyword then use a separate tracking ID for each keyword. This is more time consuming, so it's only feasible if you aren't bidding on many keywords.
