Help with Bing PPC Display URL & Landing Page

Hello Everyone,

I just launched my first PPC ad and was on the phone with one of Microsoft Bing Ad supports and they stated that if a bot checks my ad that it will not pass and be disapproved.

I added a top level domain in the display url of the affiliate offer. ex: www.affiliateofferpage.com

I also put in the encrypted click bank link in the destination URL which I guess is the issue.

I was under the impression from all the you tube videos and all my outside research that they allowed Click Bank links but I see they do not.

What is the best way to resolve this issue?

I was thinking a landing page with some type of give away and then to the affiliate page.

Any suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks

For starter, your destination url and display url should be the same.

You can put the encrpyted link in the landing page.

If I'm understanding correctly, it looks like you're direct linking straight to the offer. Not sure if Bing still allows direct linking like that or not.

But one possible way to get around it is by having your own domain name, and redirecting to the offer from there.

You can put your domain as the display url, then setup a page on your domain that redirects to the affiliate offer (with your encrypted link), and use that new link as your destination url. This way your Display & Destination Urls match.

    Ex.
    Display url: www.YourOwnDomain.com
    Destination url: www.YourOwnDomain.com/nameofaffiliateoffer

The destination url should be set up to redirect to the affiliate offer with your encrypted CB link.

    Here's how to do that:

Having your own domain also gives you more flexibility to change things up later down the line.

Maybe you want to send people to a landing page with an article/video that pre-sells your offer, or you might want to build a list at some point (recommended), instead of sending people directly to an offer...you can do that with your own domain. So be sure to get one if you don't already have one.

Pick something short and makes sense for the offer(s) that you'll be promoting.

    Hope that helps.

      Thank you SolarWarrior for replying.

Optimumex - That is what I am thinking on how to get around it.

I do have a domain name and have built a quick and easy landing page with an autoresponder. I wasn't really looking to build a list even though we know the old saying "The Money is in the list"

My question is this then. What is the difference then of having your clickbank link that redirects to your offer and my redirect link that redirects to the offer. From what I read on Bing it shouldn't redirect at all. The destination url should match your landing page URL.

Maybe im reading to much into it. I got my information from

      Thanks again.

Ok well I found out the real rules to the game at this point and time.
what I did to be compliant
    display url: www.mydomain.com
    landing page www.mydomain.com/affilaite offer folder

Inside the affiliate offer folder ( name it what ever your want) put a php redirect script in it to your click bank affiliate link

Hope this helps a lot of people.

if you do get disqualified you might need to change the destination url

Glad you got it figured out. Maybe my explanation above wasn't clear enough for you...since your solution matches exactly what I laid out for you. Maybe I could've made it clearer I guess. Anyway, glad it's working for you.

Your display URL and your destination URL must have same TLD i.e.
    Display URL: example.com
    destination url: example.com/blah...blah...blah

If you want your user to land on tracking url and then redirect to final destination then use url options.
