Hello Guys!

Can anyone with experience in affiliate marketing give me some advice, maybe check out what i've done and give me some constructive criticism.

In my opinion my landing page is quite good, and fully compatible with mobile and desktop.

I'm currently running campaigns on Adworks and Bing.
Bing has 1,013 impressions and 1 click. (CTR 0.10%) - AVG POS. 10.4
Google has 1,811 impressions and 13 clicks (CTR 0.72%) - AVG POS. 2.3

Both platforms are running the same Ads, Same descriptions, and all have the same keywords (483)

I'm really confused as of whats going on, as i'm first starting out. I appreciate you taking the time to read!

    It looks like your offer doesn't interest people you're currently targeting ... narrow down.

        Work out your ideal customer, your dream customer. Then put yourself in their shoes, work out where to find them and market to them.

    My advise would be do a search on other squeeze pages in the same niche and join them. Join 10 or more just to find what others are doing and is it better then yours or what you can change. Is you page giving value if not you will not sell a thing. Thing like a buyer and not a seller this helps a lot. Target your page to people who need it and not to anyone. Hope it helps Robert

      My keywords are quite targeted, but people arn't actually click on my page through my ads.so i can't optomize my sales page if no body clicks on it.

        Work on your call to action on your ads.

        I like to add things like "Click Here To xxxxx Now"

        You cant say your keywords are targeted, and then say you have 483 of them, and THEN say you are running the same ad and description... that's NOT targeted.. that's not even a shotgun approach.. thats throwing a handful of sand in a glass house hoping you will get out.

        Conversion 101 The offer has to match the target keyword ( the keyword needs to be in the link ) and from there the same message / keyword needs to be on the landing page. anything less.. you are throwing sand.

        So lets really look at your numbers. You have 2800 +/- impressions across both platforms... however that is spread across 483 keywords so thats what 5.5ish impressions on average for each term? In the realm of A / B testing where we like to see say 1000 impression PER KEYWORD.. you are way off the mark.

        At this point what I would suggest... find the ONE term with the most impressions... Ensure the keyword typed in matches the text on the link and then the landing page. Let this go for say 100 impressions and see how it looks. I will bet you get more than 1 click. IF you do NOT get 1 click... change the text on the link only.. get clicks.. then adjust the landing page text to match, and we can only hope from there you start getting conversions.

        ONCE you have a single converting keyword term, THEN you had a second a third etc. Build on results rather than blasting out failure.

    From what I understand I'd say you don't have to worry about your landing page(s) as people aren't even hitting them , you concern is with the CTR and not the Conversions.

    So basically, all you have to focus on now is: The Ad - Split test ads (Go Crazy - 10+ Ads) - your audience, your keywords etc.

    Some keywords wont get more than 0.1% CTR in Google and Bing no matter what you do!

    So basically now, your best bet is Split Testing 10 different Ads and different Call To Actions within those ads.

    As already suggested the problem is not the landing page, it's your ads.

    Give A Call To Action in your ads, secondly what type of keywords are you targeting?

    The niche that you are in look at other ads and see how they have written them, create curiosity with a call to action and insert the keyword in the ad aswell.

    test that out and see what happens hope it helps you out.

    Bing ads do work ive used them before, its all down to the keywords your targeting and how you write the ad.

    I'm not PPC expert. but I think the problem is with your targeting.
    maybe there's something with your targeting audience, not very targeted.
    1,013 impressions means 1,013 saw your ad but they were not interested enough to click.
    make your ad more relevant.

    Hello, i recommend not to use Pay per impression , pay only when u receive clicks to your link, that way u have better chance to get something back even if u have to bid higher on keywords is better then impression. Impression can eat your money quick and is hard to make money or get leads with impression. I have tested my self campaigns that's why i'm suggesting you no to do the same mistake. Thanks.

    On Bing, if ur avg position is 10, your not likely to get any clicks. Work on increasing the bid rate & then improving ad quality.

    Analyze the keywords that got you impressions, try running them in Ad preview & diagnostics tool. You will see your ad position & competitors ads. Modify ur ad copy based on the results.

    Hi Windustries,

    You may have an account structure issue, which has created a issue of poor targeting.

    You mentioned the number of keywords (483), but not how many ad groups, or ads per ad group. If all those keywords are in a single ad group then that is about 475 too many. This is a common account structure problem that I often see in accounts setup by new advertisers.

    Your ad groups need to have a very small list of keywords focused tightly on a single theme. Ad groups with large numbers of keywords cannot be tightly focused, therefore the ad text cannot be highly specific. Overly generic marketing messages are less than compelling and will result in very low CTR.

    Next, your ads need to be very specific to the keywords in the ad group, and include a compelling value proposition. Ads that use generic selling points will typically perform poorly. Your ads need to express value and be highly specific to the search user's intent.

    1, Your position is too low in Bing.

    2, To have that many impressions and no clicks in Google, your Ad is not attractive at all or is not reletive.

    3, Use your main keyword in Google and see what the other ads say, and see where your going wrong.

    4, Use KeyWord insertion if its required

    From the figures of Bing, it is clear that your bids are very low. Your avg. position is 10 so no body will notice that. The same can be case with Google as well. Some of the low competition keywords might have delivered those clicks. Your landing page doesn't matter as you are not getting clicks. If you get that in significant number and user don't convert then you need to look at landing page. For now, only way is to raise the bid and budget to test your campaign and landing page. That's what I would suggest.

      Your ad copy and position are relevant here, not how your website looks like. People do not need to see your website as it's not a conversions issue. improve your position in Bing to get enough impressions, then work on your ad copy if clicks are still low.
