Downloading to Power Editor

Hi, I'm brand new to Facebook ads and Power Editor so I've been watching tutorials and one of the first things they do is click a button called "Download to Power Editor". I just set up my Facebook ads account and went to Power editor and I don't see a button that says "Download to Power Editor". Any idea where it is? Is it missing because I just started? Is this a new version of Power Editor? I looked up the instructions on Facebook Ads Help, but they seem to have the old instructions. Thanks

Nevermind, I just found out you don't have to download for the new version of power editor.

    Hi dshipman,

Yes, the faux feature "Download to Power Editor" was just a fake step to give the illusion that FB actually had a desktop editor. Once they saw that most users were not being fooled by the faux feature they removed it.

Facebook is still struggling with how to design user interfaces and their account manager UI is a bit of a mess. You get different screens at different times depending which way you navigated to the page, so it takes a while to figure out how to get to the place you need to be to do what you need to do. They would be better off scrapping the whole thing and starting over from scratch, IMO.

Another thing you should be aware of is that Facebook has a reputation for reporting a lot of fake results for your ad campaign performance, so where possible use 3rd party tools to verify, do not completely trust any results data you see in Facebook Ads because much of it has been proven unreliable, or just plain fake data.

Ad agencies often refer to it by the well earned nickname "Fakebook".
