I think it depends on your ads and targeting. Without knowing the key details that looks like a very low bid and I can't imagine much traffic coming in from that.

I can get traffic down to $.10-$.20 per click on Bing with relative ease.
I have a few campaigns that are getting keywords at less than $.10 but they are few and far between.

In my experience - traffic from the US, UK, Canada, Australia are what converts best.

The cheap clicks from India etc. don't turn into sales.

You can convert traffic off of Bing - just have a simple landing page that takes people to the offer - you'll have to learn a lot about selecting a good offer before going too far though.

Many CB affiliates are now buying traffic off of RevContent and ad display networks like it.

    • Am happy to see this detailed reply Bro! If I apply 10 cents($0.10) per click and a Daily budget of $10, for a good CB (or other JV's) product worth $30(initial $/Sale) with right keywords how much will it be converted as per your opinion and experience.

There is a BIG learning curve here. Focus on the basics - maybe direct linking and be prepared to lose some money.

Or setup an affiliate site (advertorials etc.) that you can practice driving traffic to.

None can expect your sales without knowing what you are promoting & how( I mean your landing page, etc.,) Conversion is majorly dependent on your offer/product/landing page, unless you are promoting an established product with Top positioned ad. Even though you get a good CTR, you will not be guaranteed abt relative sales.

Also, how did u arrive at 0.06?? A random number for example or did u do any analysis to get to this number??

If we take Bing as example, If the avg keyword bid rate is, say 0.03, your ad might get more ctr if you bid at 0.06, since this could improve ur overall rank (Of course if Ad Quailty is good though)This is to outbid your competitors. On the other hand, if your page is not good enough, you would loose it out(Even if your are doing direct linking or using a pre lander)

Agree with Laksh - selecting offers is important and understanding offer conversion is importance.

Spend a lot of time on different sites that carry a lot of ads and see what's converting. You'll find natural health remedies, diet offers etc. and you'll be able to figure out what their affiliate opportunities are.

You'll want to have some money to experimint with and see what is converting.

My goal is always to get them on a list and advertise to the list.

I've experimented a little with PPC traffic, although I'm still a rookie at this. So far I've tried to promote a few items, with no sales direct linking. Then I tried to use a landing page to collect emails and pre sell people on the product. So far I've only got a few sales, but I would definitely say that a landing page is a must-have. It really helps in converting people and you can start collecting and building an email list. Again, I'm a complete beginner with this, so any advice is welcome.
