Hello, what is the lowest amount of search volume for a keyword that you would bid on? 500, 300, 800?

    Hi Hunter,

    Your question relates to strategy.

The strategy you select should be based on the goals of your campaign, the size of your market, level of competition, and a number of other factors.

Any answer put forth by a forum member will be both right and wrong depending upon the goals and strategy selected to reach your goal.

If you stated the goal of your campaign, and the market niche you are targeting, you may get some useful replies, otherwise advice that doesn't apply to your specific situation is pretty much useless to you or anyone else reading this thread.

Perhaps a better question for you to ask would be "what strategy should I use to reach my goal of [insert goal here]." Or describe your goal, your selected strategy, and them perhaps the replies would be useful to you since people could respond with answer that may be somewhat relevant to your specific situation.

I don't think the numbers you see in Keyword Planner is accurate, so I will recommend to test everything that you think is related to your offer/product.

I would bid on every word that is directly related to my product/website, even if there are only several searches for the keyword you know that every one of them is relevant for you.

Exactly. The vast majority of my keywords get less than one impression per day, some got only a handful all year. They describe precisely what the product is and hence, get clicks and sales. Not bidding on a keyword just because of some search volume threshold is simply leaving money on the table.
