Hi
I have been trying adwords on and off for a few years and never had a success , I have a dating site that is free and am hoping to monetizing it with adsense but the cost of using adwords is more than what I can possibly make in adsense advertising. so what am I doing wrong please advise?

Thanks

Why are you offering free dating website? I dont think adsense money would be that much to coover your adwords expenses
    especially at the beginning
Its better you monetize your dating website with members monthly, quarterly etc fees
I have dating website too and it does make lots of money

    Hi, Topfan20

Advertising a website which is made for Adsense is against Google's terms of service. It's called arbitrage. Not to mention that it's almost always unprofitable.

It's really easy to calculate - for Adsense ads a CTR of 1% is pretty good. So, you get 1 Adsense click for every 100 visits. Even if you only pay 0.01$ per click in AdWords, your Adsense earnings must be at least 1$ per click just to break even.

You can't make money advertising on Google and expect to get paid back by Google more than you put in. Google has a decent profit of I would assume more than 50% that will be sucked out of you even with perfect efficiency.
SEO and social media are free...not easy to do, but free. Also you might want to start thinking about real life advertising, maybe a big magnet or two on your car, wearing a t-shirt etc.

Our general rule of thumb is that for most niches, if your profit isn't AT LEAST $30 per sale, you won't be able to afford PPC. We prefer a profit of at least $80 per sale in order to run PPC ads that make it worth our time and effort.

    Hi mate,

I think most of your questions has already been covered previously. Even if it was legal there is almost no way to make an adsense campaign profitable with adwords, no matter the niche.

Looking at your project you should consider looking into on page SEO. There is incredible volume behind that niche - why not utilize that? Have a look on websites like moz or backlinko and learn the basics of SEO. Once you have a basic understanding search for relevant (long tail) keywords in your niche and write SEO articles according to that. It's not as hard as you might think. With a decent structure, solide keywording and some interlinking you'd be surprised how effective articles can be for you to drive traffic to your website.

Also: Once applied right, decent articles will bring you more traffic long term.

Well monetizing adsense with adwords its a big mistake .You should promote an affiliate offer that has a nice payment and then let adwords to promote it with adsense .I hope you get my point
