Should you have a different LP for different text ads?

I mean since a landing page which is relevant to the text ad the click came from gives you a higher quality score, wouldn't that make sense?

Thanks.

My company makes sure that majority of the ad copies text are somewhere within the LP. If that makes any sense . I think having multiple would hurt quality score unless your hitting 10s on QS . Test it out and see for a few weeks. I would be curious to know , but I haven't seen many businesses practice it. But believe it's been a thought for many.

  • Only a small percentage of QS is due to landing page and there is no relationship of text found on your LP vs your ad. So doing what you suggest would be a waste of resources. Concentrate on getting higher CTR with a better hook to get them to your page in the first place, that's what QS is mostly about.

So what should I focus on, a good CTR or a good conversion rate? How do you optimize for both?

  • Both. Your best ads are going to be those that get the highest conversion rate per impression. It's simply multiplying CTR with conversion rate. A bit more complicated than that since there are other factors affecting these numbers but that's the idea.
