It depends on network. For example, revcontent take $10k for first deposit I think. So it depends on with which network you want to start with.

It depends on size of your campaign. You can target narrow audience who likely click your ad. It might save you some dollars.

Depending on the network that you're wanting to work with. There is a network that you can try that only require you to commit $1,000 and they will allocate a dedicated account manager to you to ensure that your campaigns are meeting your conversion goal. Your account manager will also provide a blacklist to help filter traffic at the beginning of your campaign on top of the CPA optimization tools that they offer.

Depending on the network and the level of support that your looking for, there are different minimums to get your campaigns started. Some of the larger networks will require you to deposit $10,000 initially in order to qualify for an account manager.

There are more boutique networks that only require you to deposit $1,000 in order to have access to an account manager that will help you ensure that your campaigns are meeting your CPA goals by providing blacklists that specific to your niche.

You can run Yahoo Gemini native for no minimum budget, I think. Yahoo performs up and down, some days are great and the next performs poorly. Overall however, I've found Yahoo to be one of the better native networks.

If you run on the native networks, your best route to success is whitelisting domains related to your vertical. It's hard to blacklist domains because the networks won't expose their publisher names. When you run run-of-exchange, you get a mix of everything. And truly, the only variable that matters in native performance is publisher mix. Some networks focus on financial sites. Others "edgy" sites. Some news sites. To find the best network to start, go to publishers that you think fit your niche and see who is serving the ads at the bottom of the article. Start there.
