Hey guys,

What's the best way to conduct PPC keyword research for clients in these scenarios:

1. Has direct competitors

2. Doesn't have any competitors with paid search campaigns

3. Already has campaigns running but not seeing any ROI

Thanks!

The things to consider in your situation are the following:

    1. First, what are their competitors doing that's successful and what is the product/service difference of your client? For example, if I'm the only autobody shop in town that does rust repair, then I'm going to prioritize that in my search terms.

    2. It's a HUGE advantage to not having any competitors with paid search campaigns. However, I'll note that even with this advantage, you should still a pipeline for your PPC to achieve a specific goal.

    3. Return on investment in PPC involves making sure your pipeline is efficient. Make sure you've honed down your search terms to specific terms unique to your business. Next, make it so the link goes to a landing page, not your homepage. And finally, always have a call to action for visitors to engage in.
