If you're selling 3 products, are you better off putting them on 1 PPC ad or 3 different ones?

For example, lets say you sell power drills, are you better having:

A - Makita, Bosch and Black and Decker drill - all at great prices

or

B with sub-ads like:

B1 - Makita Drills at great prices

B2 - Bosch Drills at great prices

B3 - Black and Decker Drills at great prices

    Hi sierracharlie,

    The correct answer is C.

You will likely do best by using a combination of individual product ads as well as product category ads.

If you are advertising on the Search network channel you can use the product specific ads on search terms that include brand names or specific drill models. Then use the product category ads for generic search terms that do not reflect an interest in a specific brand, or model.

    Be Specific

The rule of thumb is to be as specific and relevant as possible.

In Search advertising you need to match the specificity of the search term. If someone is searching for a category like "power drills" write ads that appeal to the entire category, and use a category landing page. For users that are searching for a specific Brand, or Model then write an ad that names that specific Brand, or Model, and use a specific Brand/product page as the landing page for those ads.

The same idea works for display advertising, use a combination of both types of ads to maximize reach and relevancy for your targeted audience segments. Then let the data inform your optimization decisions.

    HTH,

    Don Burk

    Hello
You can start one campaign with all the Keywords for the 3 products
then you can create specific Ad for each product within the campaign.
    Good luck
