Minimum affiliate commission?

What's the minimum affiliate commission you would consider running a PPC campaign for? $10? $20? $30 or more?

Is setting up an email landing page/follow up sequence the only option or do you sometimes promote direct sales without capturing email addresses?

  • There are many variables to answer your question ... To begin with .. What's the vertical? Which ppc platforms are we talking abt (Bing / Google / FB etc.,)? Is the offer recurring? What is the Conversion criteria? ....
Regd direct vs indirect ... I incline more towards direct promotion if it is a vertical where I cannot provide / do not need follow ups or if the sales page is already good enough & I cannot make any better than what is available ... etc., (Many of us feel that capturing Email is the right way & I do not disagree at all). Split testing can also prove the need for a new capture page or not.
    Jst my 2cents ...

    • So you're saying that you'd promote an affiliate offer that pays $1 using PPC?

  • I will second Laksh here - there are many factors that need to be considered.

I personally only do CPL products not pay per sale, as that way I have a total control of what I am doing. Also I don't promote products that pay less than £30 per lead, but that's only because I've chosen to specialise in finance niches. They are more competitive but there are also a lot of money to be made there.
