Does anybody else get good results with $1 FB Ads?

I have been running $1 FB ads for quite some time now, and they almost always seem to outperform the ads when I run bigger budgets such as $10-$20/ad.

What I'll do is narrow an audience so that I can cover the entire audience with $1 ads with my budget.

Example:

I narrow an audience down to a population of 90,000
My ad will give me a potential reach of up to 1,200 for $1
So I run 90,000/1,200 = 75x$1 ads

Surprisingly many of them will convert for me, at which point I cut off the losers and let the $1 ads run until they show consistency and then I start upping the $1 budget.

I've been using this strategy with pretty good success.

Does anyone else take a similar approach with their Facebook Ads?

I use it to drive leads to then sell my own training products and services. I teach coaches how to coach hurdlers (track & field).

very interesting sprinthurdles.. and that seems to be one niche
you have to really drill down.
So have you used this strategy before with anything else?

I have not tried selling anything else yet.

It works really well with a warm audience but has been working well with cold audiences as well.

I use $1 budget for split testing. If we are running a number of ads, $1 is a good number to start to see which ads would perform the best. After the result is concluded, the best that has performed will be added more budget.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. Now I'll start a good Lookalike at $1, test a lot of them, and continue to raise the budget on the winners.

After I narrow my audience, I set the budget at $1 to see how many people I can reach for that $1

Then I take the entire audience population and divide it by the total reach per $1ad

In this example the Audience size was 90,000 people
A $1 ad would allow me to reach 1,200 people
So I divide 90,000/1,200 to get 75 ads (at $1 each)

      I hope this helps!

LOL... I still can't get it.

Here is what I understood (correct me if I'm wrong)
        1- You narrow your audience ( let's say 100,000)
2- You create ad with $1
3- You see how much audience you have reached with that $1 ad (let's say 1500)
        4- You divide 100,000/1500=66.66 (let's say 67)
5- Then you duplicate your $1 ad 67 times.
6- You run 67 ads, each ad with $1 budget, and total ad cost $67, to your entire audience 100,000 people.

        Am I right?

Thats correct. Except I dont have to run the ad to know the reach. FB tells me during ad creation.

          As an example.
During Ad creation, I see that the total Audience size is 140,000
FB tells me I can reach UP to 2,400 people with my $1 Ad,
So I divide 140,000/2,400 to see how many $1 ads I can run to cover the entire audience.
In this example that would be 58.3 ads or 59 ads.

So I run 59x $1 ads, and day 2 I cut the ones that aren't performing well.

Pretty simple. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

              Hi sprinthurdles...
I've launched a campaign with 100 ad sets. Each ad set has a budget of $1. However, I didn't receive any impressions until now. The campaign is website clicks.

Do you what is the cause of this?

I have increased the budget now to $2 per ad set. I will see what will happen.

              thanks

I don't do website clicks. Cause then, who is clicking??

I don't want random clicks, I want CONVERSIONS.

So I run conversion ads, usually for Completed Registrations.

It will also have a lot to do with the audience you send it to.

I prefer this strategy with a warm audience (have already interacted with me in the past), but it works pretty good for cold audiences as well.

My suggestion would be to not run Website Clicks, but instead use a Conversions ad.

                Also**

If you begin the $1 ad halfway through the day, it will pro-rate your budget and only spend like half of it (50cent) depending on how far along into the day you waited to create the ad.

For best results I begin ads at 12midnight to allow FB to use the entire $1 budget.

                I hope this helps!

Are you duplicating your first $1 ad 59 times, or are you running 59 ads with different ad copy for each ad?

Facebook starts to optimize as soon as you get A Single Conversion. But they suggest 25 conversions a week for best results.
