Track conversions without conversion tracking?

Hello guys,

I have to manage Adwords ads for a customer but for some stupid reasons I don't have access to his e-comm platform at all. That's why I have no solutions to implement Google conversions tracking code. Are there any other possibilities to see ads conversions or to make an idea about how those ads perform in term of conversions?

    I assumed you asked for access and the client refused. I don't have direct access to most client's website backend. They do that themselves or, for larger clients, they have a web person (or two) for this. So I just tell them they need to install this little piece of code to track conversions. I have never had a problem .

    Tell them that without it, you are only able to do half a job because you don't have all the information you need to make their campaign the best it can be. This means they may be losing money and they wouldn't know it. I don't know of many business people who wouldn't understand that.

    Should they still refuse, then you got no other choice and do the best you can with what you're given. Such "difficult" clients typically don't become long-term clients, don't stay in business very long or achieve only a fraction of their potential. None of those scenarios is good for them or me so don't be surprised if they soon say they don't want to be your client anymore or simply don't respond to calls/emails and just don't pay.
