Future of Facebook ads?

With all the issues Facebook is having after the Cambridge Analytics problem, what do you think will happen with Facebook Ads?

I have heard they aren't as good as Facebook is now not buying information they used to buy to make the audience choices better, I've heard FB advertisers are leaving FB, etc.

What have you heard? What do you know? What is your opinion? Is it better to choose AdWords or other?

I'd stick with Adwords. I have to agree with @agmccall. We need to move forward. I am experimenting something in Instagram and Pinterest now, but I have to work really hard to gain something.

They have made changes and will probably do some more but it's still one of the best places for ads because of the huge traffic. And if the targeting/retargeting quality goes down then maybe the CPC for advertisers as well...

These big companies always find a way to come out of all those troubles. They are not going to drop monitoring everything we do. If they are already monitoring our phone's mic, they will continue to do so.

They are super rich and powerful. My guess is, Facebook ads are not going to die.
