Feel Like I'm Wasting Money On Facebook Ads For Offline Home Improvement Services.

People see the posts/ads, they like the posts/ads, they respond to the posts/ads with questions and comments, but no one takes action by calling the provided number. I feel like I'm spending money and not getting a return on the money spent, could I be doing something wrong or could the method of using Facebook ads to promote offline home improvement service (call a number, we schedule a free consultation and come out) not be the most effective way of going about it?

One of 2 issues or both most likely and if fixed, will have the biggest impact the quickest. One could be the targeting you have set on Facebook. You may not be targeting homeowners and targeting everyone.

If targeting homeowners and still no results, most likely it's the market to offer match. You want to make it a very attractive no-brainer offer so people are ready to opt-in or take action.

Out of most clients work with, it usually comes down to one of those two and based on post, I would lean towards 2 could be major issue. Offline business owners can benefit greatly and online business owners, but do want to make sure get the most attractive offer in front of them.

You might want to tweak your call to action before you throw the towel in.People are interested because they are engaging .How long have you been posting Facebook ads ?

There is engagement, but no customer action. It works, but you might wanna change your target.

Well, in that case, try editing the selected interests, behaviour or you can do split tests to check which ads of your are performing and which not, thereby mending your future strategy for the ad campaigns.

in your case you must try video ads that are showing your before and after work. People will see your work and can judge your work. Lead generating ads are also one of best practice in it.

The site in your profile, jonathantees.com, is blacklisted. re. https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/jonathantees.com and it is blocked by the FireFox browser as a deceptive site, so you should check it.

Looks like either his site got hacked or it expired, someone took over the domain and redirected it to an affiliate link for HomeDepot.

      =====

I pulled up your site in Archive.org. Nothing about that site that says I repair homes. It's just a bunch of blog articles and Amazon affiliate links. Heck, you have a bunch of articles on the side totally unrelated to home repair.

      https://web.archive.org/web/20180822...athantees.com/

      If I were you,
      • get a domain named JonRepairsHouses.com/JonRepairsHomes.com
      • Create a fan page around the site.
      • The fan page would be personable, not corporate.
      • Have pictures/video of myself doing repairs on the fan page.
      • Have my children/spouse (if you have any) working alongside me on the fan page.
      • Use a lead capture form for FB ads instead of a phone number.
      • Build website around capturing leads or generating calls.
      • Hire a programmer to create a repair estimator, for the website, based on your knowledge/client history of repairs (selector for roof, flooring, painting, drywall, countertops, etc.)
      • Touch the leads several times to get to them on my website to use estimator.
      • When the estimator spits out a number or several repair estimates, have a CTA ready for your number.
      • Spruce up the fan about page with my site link, number, work hours, etc. Have the same information on your domain.

My site would look similar (link removed by moderator) but personable. The phone number would be click to call. I'd remove anything that would cause a potential client to do more steps than necessary.

I'd have a IVR, using my spouse or a hired woman's voice, to deal with clients who call to screen out the tire kickers and motivated leads and tag them as such. Motivated leads contact details get immediately sent to your phone to call back if they don't elect to call you when prompted.

This is simplified like hell, but maybe it'll help you get into the right direction.

P.S. Don't forget about FB's ad pixel being place on your site. You can start setting up Custom/Lookalike Audience campaigns later.

You need to tweak. Change your target audience, interests etc and see how it works out. Keep testing until you find success.

In that case, you're not targeting the right audience. Might be your Facebook pixel not set properly. I manage my pixel with Win Ads Manager it lets you track users with advanced matching capabilities helpful in creating better audiences.
