The never ending question - which PPC network is worth the resources? Google? Bing?

Why Google

Google Ads work by running your ads across two networks - Search Network and Display Network - for maximum reach and effectiveness.

When searching for a query on Google, ads typically look like this:

Why Bing

Bing works differently because the Bing Ads platform is integrated with Yahoo! and AOL search, which means that when you advertise on Bing your ads will display on all three (Yahoo, Bing, and AOL).

Bing queries look like this:

Should you place an ad on either Google alone? Bing alone? Or place on both search engines?

Bing is mainly US centric so it is limited but it has a lot of potential and the competition seems to be increasing but if you want to scale then there is no better option than Google.

I have used Google Ads only. It is expensive. What about Bing? Is the price the same or higher? Could someone share their experience? Thanks.

Google is unbeatable leader in PPC. But bing ads has low costs which attracts many new advertisers. So if you are looking for cheap pay per clicks, then bing is your choice.

Google is so far the best. It's global and not limited to a specific country. Bing, AoC is centered on US citizens though not limited to US alone.
In the end, it depends on your running budget. Ads are expensive, bith Google and Bing

I think small enterprenuers like us should use bing PPC as compared to adwords. Adwords is highly compatitive even for the long tail keywords now.

Big budget and big traffic you go to Google. Smaller budget and much lower traffic amount you go to Bing. You can use both though. Bing actually has an importer where you can import your Google campaigns right into their system.

If budget is the issue then bing otherwise google's traffic quality is far better than any other search engine out there.

Why not google: Because I spend for an app same amount of time as for "integrating" their rubbish sdk which is always a problem, it always crashes, never support old models which are half of users at minimum. Company tracking everything yet not allowing to test ads in live, just a suspicious behaviour, for me.

Why not bing: Their webmaster panel was not working for almost a year (well, I wasn't being checking daily yet that's my own number). I'm a dev, and such was unprofessional enough. And...

Anyone knows, why they show on (almost) any request, "find it in google", go find yourself in google! xD))

Bing's video search is significantly better than Google's. This is the biggest difference between the two. Bing gives more autocomplete suggestions than Google does in most cases. Google only gives four, while Bing gives eight.

With Bing you will be on Yahoo, AOL and Bing.

With Google you will be on Google (that alone is a winner) but you will be on thousands on websites that are serving Adsense. so you are not just on a search engine.

    Google always wins!

    Regards.

While this is true, targeted traffic is targeted traffic.

It is from Google then it is from Google. If it is from Dogpile, then it is from Dogpile.

Paying a smaller CPC, which is probably what would happen outside of Google, would still get the same targeted traffic and probably at t lesser price.

There are experts out there like Perry Marshall who may put me to shame for saying the above, but hey he is the expert, not me.

Actually the decision to use Google or Bing ads could be taken upon checking your business, it's returns and your business categories performance on bot the networks. Personally, I think you should not choose one, you should advertise on both as both the search engines have their own dedicated customers which are your prospective clients. So, take a chance on both the platforms for some time, and decide which one is good for your business.

Using the 80/20 rule, you should definitely go with Google. You'll get the biggest reach and most bang for your buck. If you can get profitable on the big G, definitely roll out to the smaller networks like Bing and others.

Although google is a much bigger platform, and will get you traffic much faster. Click per costs is pretty steep. Bing is getting more competitive too, since advertisers have now flock over to them.

Bing will get you traffic. Traffic is traffic to me. If they click on your ads, and they're targeted and well written. Don't see why Bing would be so much lesser.

It depends on your niche as well, and what you're trying to do. I could be wrong, but I don't think Google likes landing pages for example.

I've never used Google, so I won't pretend I know how good it is. But hey, they're still the leading advertisement out there. So they are doing something right.

There are significant differences in Google .vs Bing 'reach' wherein there are Global Reach and United States Reach.

In a nutshell, Google is best for Global Reach albeit in terms of expense it is more expensive compared to Bing.

    .vs

Bing is arguably the best for United States Reach and less expensive.

So, depending on your 'target market' and your 'organic spend vs. ad spend' Bing is often desirable for U.S. Markets though more difficult to learn and manage .vs Google is desirable for Global and U.S. Markets though more expensive.

Size doesn't matter! (or so I've been told)

One thing to consider, is how much traffic are you looking for? Lets say Google gets 100,000 keyword searches a month and Bing gets 25,000

If you are only buying 1000 clicks Google being larger than Bing hardly matters as both have enough traffic to fulfill your needs.

    Plus why not use both?

Bing is still far behind Google in market share. So, in terms of volume Google is your best play. Bing can be a great supplement to Google. If budget is an issue, then you can always test them both and roll with the one that gets you a better cost per lead or ROI if you are looking for sales.
