So I have a site over a few weeks was improving sale conversions via a smart shopping campaign. I have conversion tags set up for page views through cart to sales. I got my conversions to produce 15 conversions a day. I completely messed up and accidently used the conversion tags on another website and a new shopping campaign which started to record conversions for an entirely different niche (no sales or cart adds during that day but recorded page views as conversions). A day later my sales on my original site went to ZERO! I can't delete the tainted conversions in google and now my site doesn't convert at all. Any thoughts on how best to fix this? Do I need to start my conversion tracking from scratch? Over time will those skewed conversions lose value in Google's algorithm? Obviosly im pissed about my bonehead error. Any guidance would be appreciated.
