PPC Bing Ads, 301 Redirect and Conversions

Hello,

I've got some extra cash lying around and thought that I'd give PPC a chance. I had a question regarding PPC Bing ads and redirecting an ad to an affiliate or CPA offer. In reading the Bing TOS, it doesn't explicitly say that you can't set a destination URL to a redirect or even direct affiliate offer (like Adwords does). It does say that it might reduce the quality of the user's experience, but not that it's a violation of policy.

I'm hoping to use PPC traffic to generate income through affiliate products or CPA offers without having a website. My questions are:
  1. Has anyone successfully used redirect URLs with PPC Bing ads?
  2. What types of products and offers should I be targeting?
  3. Is this even a good idea?
Thanks in advance.

  • There's nothing wrong with having redirects at either network. Nearly all PPC ads for large companies point to some kind of tracking platform to record clicks and audit them for click fraud; that means a redirect. Advertisers that directly link their own sites are the minority. It's really an orthogonal concern to any policies around affiliate marketing.
