How do you add 'negative numbers' in Adwords

Hi

I know how to add negative keywords in Adwords.

Can anyone tell me how to add negative numbers in Adwords?

For example, if I have multiple users typing in numbers from 00001 to 99999 in the search box - how can I prevent my ads from showing any number combination within this range?

Hi seolearner09,

In Adwords all keywords are treated as string values, including numeric characters. You can add those numerical digits as any other negative match keyword.

-"00001"
-"00002"
-"00003"
and so on...

You can add that list of negative match number keywords to a shared library and apply as needed to ad groups or entire campaigns.

Perhaps a more practical answer would be to use exact match keywords exclusively. As long as you do not include the digits in the exact match phrase then you will have no impressions for those keywords.

I noticed that the length of the numbers seem to correspond to the length of a zip code. If you are trying to prevent search terms with zip codes out of the area you are marketing to, then perhaps geo-targeting would be a better solution:

Yes I am also suggesting you to join the Google Partner at Google plus. There you get all the answers of your question about Adwords.
