who is using the pips advertising co-op?

Hi pips members,

Is anyone in this forum using the pips co-op advertising program.If yes, has it worked well for you.How exactly does it work and how soon can you expect to see results.how effective is the program?

Assuming you read the blog post that Tanny pointed out, you should have a clear indication to how effective the co-op is. Simply put... it is a complete waste of money. The intentions are good, but the results are just not there.

Hi,

The coop is a very emotive subject for PIPS members. I have been one of the biggest critics when it comes to ROI. What you have to weigh up is the value to you of the monthly articles which you can adapt to make them your own as well as the leads you get against the money you are shelling out for the service.

I have registered for the new PIPS capture page with the video and will be interested to see how this performs. My main criticism so far is that a lot of the latest articles are not very imaginative and some of them are just plain poor content so they require a lot more work to make unique so that you can submit them to directories. Also I will be interested to see if the leads I am now getting are better targeted than the old ones as I didn’t get one single PIPS sign up from any of the old coop leads.

I am not trying to be negative but the facts don’t lie and I am giving the coop a fair chance but there is only so long you can keep forking out $99 with no return. If the new coop is no better then I may as well just stick to my own efforts and use the $99 elsewhere.

Hi Folks,

This subject is a touchy subject for alot of people but my philosophy on a co-op is does it produce sales? And in this case PIPS sales. You can have great bells and whistles (tools to help your business such as article submitters, etc) but the expectation of a high majority of coop members is that info should be "icing" on the cake...not the cake itself...

First of all, the co-op is more than the advertising but includes the article submission, 30 private label articles, toll free hotline, custom You Tube video and the new lead capture page system at www.FreePIPSite.com and more. Of course we do all the advertising we promise but it is just more than that and we have so many exciting things planned this fall including the call center where a sales pro will call your leads for you and a new promotion where we will be using the power of the media and some new concepts to drive more and better quality traffic to your PIPS sales page. Some feel that the co-op should be simply advertising only. That is how the web is supposed to work and this should be proof to you that those who are telling you that private label articles and using other people’s articles doesn’t work are wrong. It is very exciting to see your efforts start to produce these results but you have to work at it and keep plugging away for a good year or so to really saturate the search engines and then you will be set for life if you keep it up.

Hi Dustin, (Assuming Pat that Dustin wrote this and you posted it)

May I make a simple suggestion?

I know this coop has been around at least a year now so how about invite a couple of your members that have some great results with either PIPS sales that they know directly came from the coop or some success stories with the tools that you offer a member benefit? Your explanation in the benefits of article submissions and social bookmarking are right on as I can attest to the success with both of those marketing ideas but having some of your members come here would not only be great to clear up misconceptions but a fantastic marketing opportunity?

Hello everybody,
Realy, the coop was the very first thing i ventured into.

I cant imagine paying $229 for a month just to receive only
two sign up, even that was just a week before my money
expires or that was when he introduced www.freepipsite.com.

I even doubted that sign up. I believed it was done so as to
rekindle my spirit for a renewal of my membership.

I know everybody is working real hard in this business to make some money. 8 months ago I was still learning everything about marketing and was very excited to get on this pips coop thing.

I wasn´t very good at getting pips signups and I thought they are the professionals they ought to know better. Sorry to say but I´ve given up.
The 1 year subscription cost me $699 and after 8 months I do not have 1 single signup.

All the other goodies that were added to the coop reduce my pain a bit but the reason I joined was for signups - that´s what a coop is used for initially.
I don´t have much hope that for the remaining 4 months I´m going to get my share of signups.

I´ve learned my lesson and I´m not blaming anyone here, just telling how it is for me.:p

After a nearly year of being a member of Co-op, I haven't received any pips signups from it. The more coop members= less traffic to your website.

I was a member of the co-op for many months and did not receive any PIPS signups. I did receive 3 or 4 newsletter subscriptions but they soon opted out.

I also used the article submission service. Several months after quitting the co-op I did some research on the articles submitted for distribution. I was very disappointed in the number of time my articles showed up on Google.

I am not sure where these articles were submitted to but the exposure I expected was not to be found.

Actually this is not true. Unlike usual co-ops, as members join, the money is spent directly on additional advertising campaigns, so that there is not 'saturation'.
